"No need to buy anything,I can activate all functions, even Voice control if you have the stalk"

What is the STALK you refer to?

I discovered the "stalk" in my 2017 Macan but there is only a fake button molded in, not a real button so I guess voice control is not an option for me

With Apple Car Play you can use "Hey Siri" and with Android Auto you can use "OK Google"

Then what is the involvement of the stalk, does it have the microphone even if not the button? Educate me on how this works , Sima

The button on the stalk activates the native Porsche voice control if you have that feature. If you have Apple Car Play, holding the button in for 3 seconds activates Siri. But, without the button you still have the "Hey Siri" function available in your phone if you have it turned on in the phone's settings. Ditto for "OK Google" - turn it on in your phone settings and your phone will always be listening for "OK Google".

simaservis1108 added Android Auto to my 2018 Macan GTS. So far works flawlessly. Would highly recommend! Thanks!

So this is only possible with 2017+ models, correct?

yes, to be precise:

- only with PCM4 headunits, which were installed from MY17 on until Macan facelift
- MY17 started in Jan 2016 already. My first Macan was march 2016 and had a 2017 VIN and PCM4
