Finally had android auto activated on my 2018 Macan GTS.
Always bugged me that it wasn't an option. Contacted Serbia Elektronike Koya on Facebook. All I need was an Ethernet to usb adapter (Jue130) and a SD card. Gave access with team viewer on an old laptop that never gets used and was up and running in no time.

What exactly is involved,
do you allow internet access to a laptop and the supplier downloads the program?
Do you write the program to an SD card and then transfer to the vehicle?
And last but not least, what does it cost?
Allow access with team viewer. USB Ethernet cable. Plug usb into car, Ethernet to computer. SD card into slot in car, then switches back to computer and then back to the car. Goes pretty quick. Cost was 100 euro. So cost will vary due to conversion, but either way this is cheap.
He can also install CarPlay and navigation. My car had no connect or navigation.
My 2017 Macan has Nav but no Connect, and therefore no Internet access. Can this be enabled from this source?
Going to their website it appears they use the owner's smartphone for internet access which makes sense.
They seem to be able to upgrade NAV maps to latest rev. My 2017 maps are way out of date, do you know what they charge for that service?
They're closed right now or I'd email them.
Thanks
Very interesting. My 2017 S doesn't have nav, and I don't want to pay $1.5k to get CarPlay installed at a dealer (between the navigation antenna and the software activation, that's a conservative estimate). This seems like a much better option.
