@simaservis1108 Could you PM me your contact details. Picked up a 2017 Macan S with Nav and Apple CarPlay. Need to enable Android Auto. Appreciate the help.
Another happy Sima customer here! Had him activate voice control, Android Auto and update my maps to 2022 edition on my Macan S. Sima was very patient with me through the process, even when I received the wrong ethernet/USB adapter (I thought I had order a JUE130, but apparently hit the wrong "buy with 1 click" on Amazon). Once I had the correct adapter, the process was very smooth and relatively quick..AA and voice control took <10 minutes, I'd say - the map update was quite a bit longer as the file is HUGE. Thanks again Sima!
10 thumbs up to Sima for doing my upgrade. It took a little longer since my computer needed a BIOS update to enable virtualization and damn MSFT forced a windows update when I rebooted to make the BIOS update but he was very patient.
I am having an issue with the voice input that I am sure is related to AA and/or my phone. GS20 VZW flavor.
When I try to initiate voice input ether through the physical button on blinker stalk or through the mic button on the screen, the dots appear like it is trying to listen but no voice input is taken. When the system initiates the voice input all works OK. I.E. A text comes in and it asks if I want to hear it read. I speak "Yes" and it reads it aloud. It then asks if I want to respond and I say "Yes" and it prompts me for response. I then speak the response and it the response is sent. All without touching the screen.
Anyone else have this issue? Tried to update AA to the latest 7.1 release from a couple of days ago and still have this issue.
Another weird aspect of voice input. I can say "Hey google" and it will respond by showing the dots like it is ready to listen but does not further listen to the ensuing commands. Even if I rattle it off in succession "Hey google send text to ..." it shows that it is listening but does not send the text or list the words.
I have no issue with either "Hey Google" or hitting the mic button on the AA screen to get Assistant to listen. I don't have the voice control option in my car so I don't have the steering wheel button to hit. I will say sometimes when there is a slow data connection I'll get symptoms where it listens but does nothing.
Thanks @sonorous ! Which phone do you have? I suspect it is a galaxy issue (I have the galaxy s20). I tried various versions of android auto (uninstalled updates and also tried the latest beta) and also the latest google app that facilitates the google assistant. Will try the latest beta of the google app that got released a few days ago later today.

I have done this successfully with a Pixel 5 and Pixel 6 Pro without issue.
No need to buy anything,I can activate all functions, even Voice control if you have the stalk.
@simaservis1108 I would like to add all of this functionality as well. I have MHI2_US_POG11_P3300 0809 w/ Connect+ and native voice stalk. Would also like to update the native maps...any chance this update fixes the Google Earth issue? Would love to have satellite maps back in the native navigation.
Can't figure out how to PM you though...
