And he got LAST place of those who ran the full race. And some that beat him weren't in as well prepped cars either.

And in a car that has turned much faster laps and in a car that was at a better prep level than a number of other cars.

Let's pre-select all the excuses that MolassesBoy will use:

Let's not jump to any conclusions. He might have come in dead last in his class just to lull them into a false sense of security for the next race - then he'll really put the hammer down like we all know he can. Does anyone know if he was wearing the Ferrari race suit? I'm guessing not, because that suit is like Tiger Woods wearing red on Sunday - all business.

Well in a 15 lap race he was about 4 seconds ahead of being lapped a second time by the driver in the provisional 1st place. (he seems to have been dq'd)

That would have been great, Dave, but I'm pretty sure that H4 cars don't have turbos?
Anyway . . . I have two questions. First off, when you hit the profile for Frank, shouldn't it be flin and not kenjim? Second, if you look at the average time of Gil (can't remember how to spell that first name!), the car that finished right in front of Frank, you'll see his average lap time is 2:01 (now that is slow -- even I can go faster than that), but Frank's ALT is 1:59. So how come Gil finished ahead of Frank? Sounds like somebody was up to his standard driving again -- probably spun or something. That's the only way I can figure someone with a faster ALT would come in behind a slower driver. And the guy in front of him had a best time that was only 2/10s behind Frank's best. Hmmm . . .
But yeah, Joe . . . at least he got out there. Hopefully Frank will be grascious to his fellow drivers, and will be humble enough to have learned something from the experience. Hey! It could happen!

I don't know about being president of any country let alone Taiwan (yes, I know that was a GR reference), but I'd be glad to tie one on with ya. Who's buying?

Well if he was in an underprepared car and didn't have the big mouth this would be a whole new story.
My goal next weekend for my first race and first time in the car is to not mess up anyone else on the track and finish both races. I also plan on my times to get much better throughout the weekend since I'm working with a very different car than I've ever driven and a track I've never been on.
However It might be a speedbump on my road to president of Djibouti so I should rethink all of this.
