Nah, I'm smarter than that. I'm the guy who swoops in for the kill after you have dumped the loser who paid for all your drinks.

Back tothe topic at hand.
Looking at those numbers I think it's safe to say Greg Fishman will have S10,000 coming his way in a few years.

Not much better. Still around 5 seconds off of the pace. Just what the pro teams and big sponsors are looking for.

I guess Andrie Hartanto must have been DQ'd or something -- he clearly was the fastest racer among all. Bummer. Sixth out of eight finishers isn't bad, I suppose. I've been there. But the best average lap time, other than Hartanto (who clearly must have wrecked on the last lap or something), was only a 2:01? There must have been a lot of traffic!

Anyway . . . I have two questions. First off, when you hit the profile for Frank, shouldn't it be flin and not kenjim? Second, if you look at the average time of Gil (can't remember how to spell that first name!), the car that finished right in front of Frank, you'll see his average lap time is 2:01 (now that is slow -- even I can go faster than that), but Frank's ALT is 1:59. So how come Gil finished ahead of Frank? Sounds like somebody was up to his standard driving again -- probably spun or something. That's the only way I can figure someone with a faster ALT would come in behind a slower driver. And the guy in front of him had a best time that was only 2/10s behind Frank's best. Hmmm . . .
But yeah, Joe . . . at least he got out there. Hopefully Frank will be grascious to his fellow drivers, and will be humble enough to have learned something from the experience. Hey! It could happen!

It was pretty fun and excellent w2w practice for me learning how to pass slower class cars as efficient but cleanly as possible. I managed to pass the entire SM field at one point but I let Randy Evans by in the later stages of the race as I knew he was SM class leader and I didn't have any class competitors near me and SM are faster than me in few corners and also notably under braking. I think I finished overall position just behind him. He was regional SCCA San Francisco regional Spec Miata champ so he is no slouch. There are always things to be learned from competitive SM drivers so I do enjoying watching a good SM driver.
Saturday Group A race had 52 cars in 13 classes. Fun fun fun. Overall I started 29th on grid and finished 16th.
Andrie broke his axles during both Sat. and Sun. race...

the turds have once again shown their ignorance and why they will never go very far.... hahaha. does shakedown weekend mean anything to you? this was the first weekend FartMachine has been on track. Infineon is one of the most challenging tracks in the West Coast. out of all the tracks I frequent, it is the one I'm use the most caution. Not because of its technical nature (which I absolutely love, this is my favorite track that I've been to) but because of so many walls to hit. it's also been nearly two years (1 year 9 months to be exact) since I was last on Infineon in Oct. 2005. i missed the 8:00 am warm up on Sat. morning due to few last minute touches on tech inspection... i was also using old worn and heat-cycled-to-death RA1's from 2002. i can come up with few more excuses but basically i need to do a test & tune day as NASA Group-A really isn't the place to do it... you gotta have your car ready for w2w.
i'm pleased with FartMachine on its debut. overall i'm quite satisfied with how FM felt. the only thing I really didn't like was it locks up the rears first under hard braking which is one of the worst traits I HATE. it wasn't fun when i was trying to go deep under braking in Saturday qualifying and rear locks up and steps out 45 deg. side ways in a split second... lol. at least i didn't lose it hahaha.
solution is simple, use less aggressive rear pads or add a brake bias adjuster. need to test it before the next w2w weekend.
ps, i was invited/asked to test with a team that's mounting a serious effort for the NASA 25 Hour Enduro.
