How about, "He who DNF does not win race."

Bonster,

Isn't it more like "You can't win a race if you don't even show up"

That's very possible, Paul. I was referring to the one race that I know of that he participated in, where he wrecked the SM he rented, and did not finish the race (nor did the guy he collided with). I'm not the fastest racer, but I live by the words, "Last place is better than a DNF."

Too true, and don't try to win the race on the 1st lap/turn

ROFL, Bob!!! When you get a DNS, I suppose you can just hang out all weekend telling everybody about your theoretical lap times, right? DOH! I've never had a DNS (or a DNF, actually). If my car is not running properly, I bail out (even though SCCA charges you that $25 fee for late cancellation). No reason to make a small problem turn into a huge one. It's hard for me to conceive the thought that someone who supposedly is an automotive tuner has more trouble getting going than myself -- barely a shadetree mechanic at best. I guess Miatas are more reliable than Hondas. Moowahahahaha.

I will say that I have had a DNF or two in SCCA races, but I had some really good excuses!

I think the best place for most Hondas is at the grocery store, myself.
