quite a fantasic quote... by who?

not sure if this quote is new or old. but i just saw it on some chick's profile...

""dance till it hurts; love like you need the money; work when people are watching."

hilarious (the last bit). i love it.

Veloce Raptor 06-17-2007 02:57 PM

The phrase is "by WHOM", dipstick.

Bull 06-17-2007 04:03 PM

Tell him the quote is incorrect too!

Sean F 06-21-2007 11:21 AM

It was Confucius.

He also said "he who talks about racing but doesn't race is masturacing"

Mike in Chi 06-21-2007 12:01 PM

:D :D :D

Bonster 06-21-2007 04:20 PM

How about, "He who DNF does not win race." :p

Paul 996 06-21-2007 04:32 PM

Bonster,

Isn't it more like "You can't win a race if you don't even show up"

:roflmao: :roflmao:

Bonster 06-21-2007 04:34 PM

That's very possible, Paul. I was referring to the one race that I know of that he participated in, where he wrecked the SM he rented, and did not finish the race (nor did the guy he collided with). I'm not the fastest racer, but I live by the words, "Last place is better than a DNF." :)

Paul 996 06-21-2007 04:57 PM

Too true, and don't try to win the race on the 1st lap/turn :)

But ChickenBoy believes that perfection is a DNS!

Bonster 06-21-2007 07:53 PM

ROFL, Bob!!! When you get a DNS, I suppose you can just hang out all weekend telling everybody about your theoretical lap times, right? DOH! I've never had a DNS (or a DNF, actually). If my car is not running properly, I bail out (even though SCCA charges you that $25 fee for late cancellation). No reason to make a small problem turn into a huge one. It's hard for me to conceive the thought that someone who supposedly is an automotive tuner has more trouble getting going than myself -- barely a shadetree mechanic at best. I guess Miatas are more reliable than Hondas. Moowahahahaha. :p

Hunduhs are to Porsches as free clinic condoms are to French Ticklers!

I will say that I have had a DNF or two in SCCA races, but I had some really good excuses!

Bonster 06-21-2007 08:55 PM

I think the best place for most Hondas is at the grocery store, myself. :D
