Thats a hell of a deal, but the price Porsche is asking is roughly the same around my neck of the woods for Xpel Ultimate Plus. Could be a good idea to let them do it, if they are using something similar to avoid the headache of brining it to a shop.

Being Xpel and a lower price doesn’t necessarily mean you are getting the same quality work. In my area price range is pretty big, but so is the quality of work. No way would I go with the cheaper guys. I’ve learned my lesson once and that was enough!

I agree with this. Had my 991.2 done at one place and thought it was a good job because I didn't really know what a good job looked like. Had my GT3 done at a place with a great reputation and it is like night and day. I'm considering redoing the 991.2 at the second place. The price was almost double but there is no comparison in the workmanship.

^ I'd say that the strut failure and a 3rd gear becoming 100% unusable are more than just the nuance or tradeoff of every car out there, especially on a ~100k product. Isolated, yes, a little unnerving, most definitely.

Yeah but this achilles heel will cost you 30k that is not covered by warranty and possibly send you into a tree or off the side of a canyon. It's a scary design flaw to have it possible that the strut pogos through the body if you hit a pothole or a rock.

So far all of them have been around $20k with insurance coverage.
