718 GT4?

I've had a place holding deposit down on a GT4 for a YEAR now and still not even a single confirmed detail....
I saw this today and it may partially explain what is causing this serious case of heel dragging : https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-sho...iEYZ9iGyNtxVTQ

I assume the next likely place for the GT4 to drop is July 4th at Goodwood, that'll be a long four months to wait. If the dealers think they'll be getting cars in Q4, does that line up well with the announcement?

I can't see how that would happen. If the car is being unveiled in Q3 that means we will be seeing them realistically in Q1 of 2020. To get them before the end of the year would mean they would have to release pricing and the configuator the very day it's unveiled at Goodwood... IF it's even going to be revealed then.....

Porsche never said or hinted they’d be announcing the new GT4 and Spyder at Geneva, so I can’t be too disappointed. I’d rather Porsche take their time and get everything right (eg. mitigating the strut tower failure issue).
Given that there seems to be no gasoline powered successor to the 982 platform
planned, the upcoming Spyder and GT4 may well be the last plain old fashioned mid engine gasoline sports cars they make.
With that said, I’m not bothered by the prospect of an electric successor to these. While electric cars may not have the wail of a high revving NA flat 6 and tactile experience of a manual transmission, the instant torque is great, and I don’t mind near silence compared to the so-so sound of a turbo 4. Electric powertrains are good - you’ll probably like them when you try them.

It is, actually. Pretty much nobody from any brand brought anything that's really new or exciting. OK maybe Ferrari didn't get the memo but outside of them...it's like a coordinated snooze fest here this year. Only saving grace is that I got to interview the retiring Mr. 911, a lovely man with a great story.
I did get to see the Singer DLS up close and it's insane.
