this is the video


There is a slight high pitch sound but it is not a turbo hiss...
It is the car at wide open throttle surrounded by track walls.

Yep. That sound can definitely present with WOT running near walls in N/A Caymans. I had people coming up to me to ask if my 987.1S was turbo at VIR because of the same sound reflecting off the front kink wall. Car was N/A.

I’m newer to the forum but after spending some time lurking it amazes me why anyone questions you or some others on this thread. 🤔

also this may have been pointed out already, but seems there were two cars at this test. one with blue banner and mirrors and one with teal?

After listening to it again, I do think it’s NA. Don’t like the sound but I’d lean NA after listening to it back to back with the 981 track videos.

In this latest video, there appear to be 2 GT4s testing--one with a blue banner and mirrors and one with a green banner and mirrors.
Could be that they are testing different exhaust and/or intake setups.

The overall engine sound is similar to a flat 6 N/A. The exhaust is choking it right up. There's high quality videos that show this. Like right here, you can see the GT4s go by but you can't hear them. Then the RSR comes through and it's 10 times as loud, with the mic cutting out and not being able to pick it up. This to me is classic exhaust getting in the way of the noises the car should make. Some combo of noise regulations and the PF.
