That's our kinda numbers validation

Thanks!

Congratulations Jared! I was lucky enough to see this all go down in person, and it was very impressive to say the least how the team was running down there. Well done! Looking forward to next year

True story lol.

The idea of a little more midrange, even if there isn't much improvement in peak numbers is appealing to me. I plan to get some of these mods in the future just to enhance (not change) the experience. I do not want a 911 so I will not put the money towards a GT3. I want my cayman, I just want it to exaggerate its character a bit.
Very well said! Based off your goals i'd say the Sport Headers would be a great starting point for you. As CAlexio mentioned below, it is a worthwhile investment

Excellent feedback Alex thank you!

I appreciate the kind words, our tuner is top notch and i'll be sure to pass that along to him! If you wouldn't mind chiming in on our 981 Protuning thread, it would be greatly appreciated!

Maybe dyno numbers and seconds are not the whole story when it comes down to "feel", there´s a lot in the way power is delivered over the rpm range. I guess the wide gap between the two curves along the midrange is what makes it actually feel so good on the road.

That a-worxx GT4 is btw. a different story. As I read in another article, they just modified the stock headers by welding HJS 200 cell cats in them. Makes no sense to me, having seen stock vs. CG sport headers on my garage floor. There´s also no plenum or tb, just the bmc filters.
Not surprised to hear the noticeable improvement your friends experienced. These cars have a lot of potential, sometimes overthinking the situation can put a damper of the fun.

A lot goes into the development of a more efficient header design. I can tell you one thing that is NOT conducive to making performance...having an empty cat chamber for turbulence in the exhaust flow. Not surprised to hear Rick saw no gains with the "gutted" version of the factory headers.

The light blue is with Fabspeed sport headers? Does this mean that the car has partly less talk than the series GT4?

I also had rear toe links installed and a -ve 3 F and -ve 2.75 R set, so speed onto the straight will be slightly higher (hopefully) but still using MPS cups. I will let y'all know the outcome.
Just an update. I ran in the event yesterday and did OK but my main straight best terminal speed before my braking marker was the same vmax of 223kph. It was a very hot day (38C) and the mods may have worker better if it was about 10C cooler but still, one could not say that it was a great result; I was hoping for circa 230kph top speed. Having now run in a few events at different tracks, I've reached the conclusion that the best upgrade for this car would be better tyres....The MPSCupIIs are just not in the same league as Yoko AO50's and one can only hope that someone will make a proper R-Spec tyre for a this car in a 20" sometime soon.
