Default Fabspeed Now Offering COBB 981 Protunes!

For years now the Porsche community has been asking for quality tuning to unleash the true potential of 981 platform. COBB Tuning turned their attention to the task, and we are happy to say they now offer a quality tuning solution through their flagship Accessport V3 that has seen fantastic results on all the 981 models.

As we have been specializing in Porsche performance for over 20 years, we are proud to say that we have developed a strong relationship with COBB to provide the Porsche community with the best performance products on the market. We are not only a distributor of their products, but an authorized Protuner as well. By sending us your vehicle's datalog we will create a custom tuning solution for your specific octane, modifications, and various other parameters to maximize the potential performance gains.

Contact me with any questions or if you would like to get the ball rolling on taking your vehicle to the next level. We have COBB Accessports in stock and our Protuner is ready to rock

What about the tune for 981 Spyder?

Same map as the GT4?

A soon as they get their hands on one to confirm the GT4 file is compatible a tune will be available It should not take much longer. Have you taken delivery yet?

can the dip at 7000 rpm be tuned out? or is it limited by the intake? the fact that it rises again after the dip makes me think it can be tuned out...

Cobb has yet to confirm the GT4 file will work on the Spyder, but they are working on getting one in shortly to confirm/develop a map for your vehicle so stay tuned

As for our headers, we have confirmed the Spyder and GT4 exhaust systems are the same fitment and our headers are created to fit within the factory interference points. We are quite confident our headers will fit without an issue, and provide performance and sounds improvements similar (if not the same) as the GT4.

From speaking with Cobb and reviewing the dynograph on their website, the dip is unrelated to the ECU software. With one of our custom maps from our certified Protuner you will certainly see additional performance over the "off the shelf" maps included in the Accessport, but we do not expect to completely eliminate this dip. We are looking forward to our next GT4 installation, and we may be able to do some further tweaking of the software utilizing our dyno.

I am working closely with Greg over at IPD and am waiting to see the results of the Competition Plenum/TB upgrade on a few GT4 owners who are installing them shortly. We expect to see good performance gains across the board, but whether or not it will result in reducing/eliminating the 7000rpm dip is to be determined.

I will be sure to keep you updated as we accumulate more data

Don't mean to sound like Sarah Palin, but I can literally walk to either AWE Tuning or Fabspeed from my house! Nice benefit of living in suburban Philly.

Then Tell those Russians over at Fabspeed to post up some pics and dynos of their exhaust/header/Cobb combo.
