I just changed it simply to GT4. I agree the PCCB's are unnecessary on the GT4. However, the MSRP is not too far from what most GT4's are going for anyway.

Nice car. Agree, looks like a dealer spec.

Hopefully it sells for MSRP.

Crazy...

My car has PCM, CF Trim, PCCB and Buckets and it is only $300 or so more than this car.

If you are not tracking your GT4 PCCB's will likely add to the car's future value over base steel brakes -- especially if you are a low mileage driver.

That and the fact that they are just plain better looking

Nope. You won't get that money back.
If you add in 7k and get less than 7k back, how are you adding future value?

You have to look at the car overall vs. other cars with fewer options. My view is that a GT4 with LWBS's and PCCB's will be more attractive to a broader set of potential buyers (including those willing to pay a premium for those options). I have personally observed it with the GT3.

Personally I think 2-3 years out a GT4 with LWBS's and PCCB's can easily command 10K more than a GT4 without them (especially with lower miles as stated in my earlier post).

LWBs = $4730
PCCBs = $7400
Total = $12130

You command = $10000

Loss = $2730

Like orthojoe stated you are loosing money

And while a few may pay what you think its worth not everybody will.

The caliper red clashes with Carmine too

Ouch!

Have you driven a GT4 with PCCBs in anger? Definitely worth $2,730 over a few years...they are the most impressive thing about the car, IMO. Overkill for sure, but in a good way.

By the way, your math assumes the rest of the car isn't depreciating.

Just curious, is it documented just how much better the PCCBs are? By that, I mean in terms of 60 to 0 distance, etc.

My measurement was repeated instant gut-wrenching deceleration from high speed. I doubt there is any difference in stopping distance...that is more a factor of the tires.
