It's crazy...every fast car here (except one Lava GT3RS on MPSC2's) has full on race slicks, no DOT bull**** (I on the other hand have lowly RE-71's)

Don't get me wrong...I love pedalling (spelled it right for ya!) the $hit out of it, heel-toeing like mad and catching every slide, and it is great fun, but an extra 65 hp and more importantly torque, would be nice
Got some nice comments from Tommy Byrne, whooo was private coaching the guy in the RS, also

let me check previous posts in this thread and get back to you,,
Ok , from RL member Provoste (pg 56 of this very thread):
"Nah, Ferrari Challenge runs 255/305 P Zero slicks in 19's. I've been using them as take-offs, they're AMAZING"
I think most are running scrub slicks (with only a few qualifying laps on them from guys with money to burn) from race shops down in FLA., for really cheap....one guy today at Mid Ohio, in a 4.1L cayman 987 conversion got them for $80/tire!!!

Thunderhill 5 mile course - 3:10.840 - 15 Sep 2017 - Hoosier R7 - Suspension mods
Great 3 day weekend at the track here at Northern California's Thunderhill. Managed to obtain new personal bests for both the 3 mile and 5 mile configurations at Thunderhill. I had some work done to add to my MoTeC dash/datalogger, and that wasn't working properly for all but the last session of the first day on the 5 mile circuit. I know I was faster in the cooler temperatures of the morning, but I'll have to settle for what I managed to record.

Thunderhill 3 mile cyclone course - 1:57.372 - 16 Sep 2017 - Hoosier R7 - Suspension mods
A huge thrill, but a heartbreak as well. I had 2 days on the 3 mile circuit, after warming up on Friday on the 5 mile circuit. Saturday I got down to 1:57.372 on stickers. I knew none of my fast laps were clean and tidy. For sure there was more to be had. Sunday I was all charged up and ready. By the time I got past T10 I was nearly seven tenths quicker than my PB. Unfortunately, I probably lost concentration for an instant as I acknowledged that fact and balked second gear for T11, ruining my one good shot at breaking into the 56's. Next time for sure!

Local customer in a Carmine Red GT4 on R7's is down to 1:47's at the Ridge. Little bit of geometry tweaking and air pressure guidance helped get him there. For those that don't know the track, I'm at 1:49 in my 991 GT3 on R7's, fastest time of our group of drivers that I know of is a 991 GT3RS at 1:45.9 on TrofeoR's. So 1:47's in a GT4 is really moving...
