Bill - is your Cantrell cage "quiet"?

Went for a ride (hubby driving) and noticed quite a bit of creaking and clunking. I didn't have these noises with the Cantrell in my Cayman R.

We determined this is not suspension - it's definitely roll cage. I can live with it but I was curious is yours is quiet, or if it needed further snugging after you put some miles on it.

The bar does seem quiet both before and after its first track day. I did try to make sure everything was properly "snugged".

No creaks or squeaks from my cantrell bar... When I installed the bar, I made sure to jiggle all the pieces before torqueing everything down. Just to make sure everything was seated properly.

Mine is not clunking. Every once in awhile I get a buzz, but who knows what's really causing that.

BTW, I saw one today that was not installed very well. if you're in texas, I highly recommend you talk to ATX in austin. They have done nearly a dozen of them now, and it looks like it came from the factory.

Mine looks like factory. Appearance isn't the issue. I believe mine was the 5th they installed in a GT4. A friend with a GT3 said his also makes some sounds and he recommended not chasing it.
