Catching back up to this thread. Sorry GT4 981, the car is in Southern California. Dark blue metallic is fantastic.

Oil change and brake fluid flush. Only took me 4 hours! :/ Will hopefully go faster next time, now that I've done it once on this car. That oil filter is a PIA to get to when the car is only up on jackpoint jack stands. They're not so tall. I gotta start looking into QuickJack...

Get the quickjacks I love them. Here you go, here is doing an oil change with them. So much easier.

Yup! I watched your video as part of my procedure research beforehand. Thanks for making it! You seem to be a proponent of the German "gutentite" method of torque specs. For the drain plug I went with 37ft*lbs, and for the filter housing I went with 17ft*lbs as spec'd!

The lock bars go on the outside to keep you from having to reach under the car when they are unlocked....

Haha Yea. i use the German Tq a lot. Well having been a auto and diesel tech for over 10 years before moving into an office roll, I have had enough experience to know how tight to make certain things based on repetition, training or just feel. I use a torque wrench on anything that's tq critical (internal engine components, head bolts, suspension bolts, wheel bolts, etc)

I know i moved them around where i have them stored and grab the wrong one every time. I just need to move them around where i have them stored so i pull them for the right side.

Interesting.
I use a torque wrench at 37ft-lbs for the oil plug on my GT4 because I once torqued it to 33ft-lbs by mistake and it leaked. After that I realized the torque wrench was essential because I defy anyone to have a muscle-memory torquing ability to discern between 33ft-lbs and 37ft-lbs.

Its all about feeling the Crush of the copper crush washer. Once you have done 100's of them you can understand and grasp the crush feel. You need that torque to get the washer to actually crush a bit to make the seal. But i know your feeling I did the very first oil change in my 2014 Audi S4 and used the spec with a new crush washer and the pos leaked and made a mess all over my garage and they aero tray under the engine. I was pissed. Then after i fixed the leak I went to just using the vacuum method though the dipstick tube.

Sorry if I'm thick here but to what does the "4.5" refer? Not displacement of either Gen 1 (3.8) or Gen 2 (4.0)...
