I would like to find a cigarette lighter charger for the Braille i48CE. If any one has any recommendations please advise. I know their do have a charger they will throw in discounted but maybe their is a cigarette lighter adapter sort to speak that can be attached to their charger

That's exactly what I did. I had a Porsche charger for my Lithium Battery that came with my old RS. When I replaced the battery with the i48CE, I cut the end off and spliced into Braille's charger.

Also looks like A123 makes their own auto battery now:

They couldn't ship from Germany so decided to go with the Braille....but it's still an interesting and good looking product.

Surprised no vendors are popping up here. PM me if you are going to buy one. Offer would be good for today/tomorrow only. No tire kickers please.

Thanks for the update. Do you know what the price is, out of curiosity?

Guys- when you start your car with the lithium battery does anything sound or feel different??

I talked with Braille direct and there seems to be a lot pros over OEM and not many cons which surprises me. Supposedly they last longer, no problem in cold weather, they actually start up quicker for some reason ect. The only negative I have heard is that if you are not going to dive you car for over 2 weeks you should connect a charger to it. What am I missing?? ~$1500 to save 25 lbs and a better battery seems like a no brainer- Any more input welcome. I tend to beat a dead horse when contemplating a purchase.

I have found that the voltage (using the volt info on the car) is more stable, higher at all times and doesn't drop that much during starts. It's a no brainer with the only con being the price.....

Seems like $1300 is being nice. $4k plus on Suncoast. Seems ridiculous. Actually I didn't catch the price of your battery. Just pointing out how crazy expensive the OEM one is.

Insane- the Braille is the way to go.

Question to all - when you take out the regular OEM battery; do you just shelve it. How long will it last just sitting indoors? Do you need to keep it on a charge?

I just gave it to a friend who needed a battery.....I have found that you usually don't need an extra battery often and when you do it's dead/drain.
