Attn PTS GT4 owners/orders. Color?

Signal yellow is closer to schoolbus yellow/orange. It was my favorite crayon color as a kid. If I was lucky enough to swing a PTS allocation, it would have been voodoo or signal yellow.
#48
What colour is that Spyder in your av? It's not fashion grey is it? Looks superb. Thanks.

#50
ah, how interesting. does this mean it was a custom colour you designed or was it part of the Porsche PTS universe? It quite reminds me of Mclaren's new chicane grey which I think might be my favourite colour of all time. Looking forward to the grand reveal!
#52
Even though I own two grey cars and am sick of looking at the color, that Macca grey looks superb.
#53
#54
My favorite color right now as well!
#55
Similar to Grigio Medio

Here is what 'Signal Yellow', color code 114, looks like:

Donavan is trying to play coy...with limited success.
His color has to be an approved PTS color originally requested by someone
else since there was not enough time for a feasibility study of a custom color
in the short time he had to decide on the hue for his Spyder. He tried to get
Porsche to do 'Dolphin Grey' for him on a '12 987 Spyder and they closed the
PTS window while the discussions went back & forth. He probably learned
from that unfortunate experience that by the time a PTS window opens, you
choose from the already approved PTS colors...and don't waste your time
with daydreaming about other hues! And that is a lesson I would recommend
to all of you to remember too!
Back in 2011, Porsche customers had no idea that there was a list of pre-
approved PTS colors for the 997/987 models. We could only guess that a
color was possible based on having seen an example reported in a forum
or the automotive press. But some dealers knew what colors could be
ordered because they were already 'approved' & it was communicated
to them by PAG. But that information was not public knowledge. And
that gave knowledgeable dealers a competitive advantage. And we saw
that in play back in March of 2011, when PAG opened the PTS window
for the '12 987 Spyder for only two short weeks...and only three Spyders
were ordered - 2 by dealers for spec 'Riviera Blue' & 'Azure' & 1 by an
actual customer in 'Speed Yellow'. That was the period when Donavan
was initially left out of his PTS Spyder due to the back & forth. But he
later managed to get the 'Riviera Blue' when it was put for sale by
Walter's.
But a whole new PTS paradigm started in 2012 when we learned that
PCNA had an approved PTS list that was circulated among dealers. We
decided to publish it here on Rennlist and it was a game-changer:
https://rennlist.com/forums/987-981-...e-and-you.html
https://rennlist.com/forums/991/7085...e-and-you.html
And since then, PTS has taken on a whole new life. And the popularity
of this option has soared to heights never seen before at Porsche. And
demand now exceeds supply by a big factor. That is why it's prudent
that when a PTS window opens, you are ready to place your order with
an approved color from the PTS list we have published & try to keep
updated at our forum!
But here is the rub. Starting in June of 2015, that PTS list has been
designated 'Confidential - for internal use only' by PAG. I think that
decision is ill-conceived & I am trying to get it reversed. But we don't
yet know how it will go. The publication of that list has helped countless
customers take advantage of PTS at Porsche. But all the talk of PTS
has also increased the demand for the option to levels which PAG
can't meet at the present time. But hiding the list from us is not going
to do anything but create more distrust in the PTS process at Porsche.
We will keep you all posted as this story develops...

Wow ! Finally one in the flesh. I'm so happy with my color choice. Voodoo Blue rocks.
I wasn't sure initially about the Black satin wheels I picked, but now I'm convince they will look great seeing this one with the platinum. IMO the black wheels and all the black trim on the car feels like the right package.
Never the less, this one is stunning.
Can't wait for mine to get here in April.
