18" or 19" rims on GT4

so anyone going with the OZ 19" wheels?
I see that 19x8.5" ET53 fronts are at the right offset. For the rears there's an option of 19x10" or 19x11" ET40 or ET50. Ideally, from the custom wheel manufacturers a rear 11" with offset of 45-47 is ideal. Has anyone contemplated using the 11" rear OZ wheel with a spacer?
A set of OZ track wheels will still run you $2k/set.

I'm thinking of trying the OZ wheels at the tire rack with Hoosier R7. I know it's not ideal but the 10" rear should fit 295 R7s (either 30 or 35 series) and even though a 265 should technically go on at least a 9" rim, I'm pretty sure it could be stuffed on one of those 8.5" fronts. Ideal? No, but probably pretty decent until better options come along. Anyone try this yet?

There's at least one post here from someone who is using 19" OZ's, 8.5"F and 10"R. They will work without issues but the general consensus is the car benefits form a 9" wheel in front and possibly a 10.5" or 11" in the rear. Those are the sizes that are hard to find with the correct offsets and at an affordable price.

Based on those numbers and how the tires fit on OEM I would suspect that his would stick out 1/4" past the fenders unless an aggressive camber was done at the rear. For track I would not recommend his rear setup due to rubbing on the fender under compression - varies by track. For reference research ShakeNBake's setup and his experience.

Yes, I did see that 11" rears has rubbing issues. maybe what tirerack recommends is best, 8.5" front and 10" rears. I don't see oz changing any of there sizes just for the gt4

The stock 20s are 11" in the rear, so where are 19x11 rears rubbing that the stockers do not? Or are you referring just to 11" rear with specific offsets as opposed to saying that ANY 19x11 wheel will have rubbing issues?

I'm installing my 19" BBS CH-R's over the weekend, 8.5" ET51 front, 10" ET38 rear. Fitment is perfect. Clears everything, and allows for anything from 275-295 rear tire sizes, which is fine.
I'm slapping on a set of 245-40-19 and 295-35-19 for street duty, but for the track I would run front: 245-35-19 or 255-35-19 and rear: 285-35-19 or 295-35-19. Any combination will work.
For non-custom wheels, I'd rather run the 10" rear instead of the 11", personally. You can't beat the look of the BBS's. Plus, I've removed the stupid stainless steel lip, it's on there with tape. Black looks incredible without the stupid bling-ring.

As discussed in the other threads you need a different offset to avoid hitting the toelink. Unless you get a special built wheel barrel but then again we are talking mainstream OZs here and not Forgeline or the like.

I was aware of that, but that means we're talking about the rear wheels rubbing against the toe link? That seems like cause for concern to me, which is why I thought this had to be something else.

Thats why Mvez posted about the offset. As well as others in that thread showing pics of the closeness of the toelink. In the end its up to the individual what they are willing to accept or not.

So it is very important that you know that these particular wheels are meant for a Porsche GT4 Clubsport, with specifications that allow us to run this particular size. These 18"s will not fit on a GT4 unless it is a Clubsport, but they're worth sharing since it's relevant.
We've got here a set of HRE R101 wheels in 18x9, 18x10.5.
Front 18x9 weighs in at 16.8Lbs
Rear 18x10.5 weighs in at 19.0Lbs
