Mile high-- sometime this late spring or summer I'll be driving it to AZ and may go thru Denver to hit some mountain roads... should stop by for some photo opportunities!

Eduardo,
As you know until recently Sport Classic Grey was strictly prohibited due to the 2010 Exclusive Limited 911 Sport Classic.
I happen to discover the availability when I inquired about the difference between Fashion, Arrow, Grigio Campovolo and Sport Classic Grey with Porsche Exclusive. I was informed that Sport Classic Grey is not on the official PTS list, and is only available if a customer specifically requests it directly through the Porsche Exclusive.
So far I know of 3 PTS Sport Classic Grey 981 Spyders, 2 in Europe and mine. I'm sure there are others out there.
I was originally planning to reveal my Spyder upon delivery, but others have let the cat out of the bag before me.
My Spyder is currently in V260 Status - 1/14/16. ETA is late March / early April?

Donavan:
Glad that worked out well for you. I guess you felt under no obligation
to inform fellow Rennlisters of this unusual PTS development...even
though you have maintained a very high profile at the 981 forum!
https://rennlist.com/forums/987-981-...ld-status.html
https://rennlist.com/forums/987-981-...er-thread.html
But I am deeply disappointed that Melissa Witek & the 'Porsche Exclusive'
department knew that 'Sport Classic Grey' was available for PTS on the
981/991 & failed to inform the vast majority of their PTS customers, at
least on this US market.

No, I don't think others let the cat out of the bag before you.
I think you let the cat out all by yourself!
Above is the post that led me to guess at what color you had
chosen for your Spyder & why you have been playing it so 'coy'
for the past six months re: the color you had selected & would
not share the information with those that asked!
Saludos,

I understand Eduardo. He’s trying to create transparency in the PTS policy of Porsche. Apparently, not an easy thing to do.
As such, he’s eager to obtain every little bit of information, information he’s happy to share here. I guess this information was already helpful for a lot of people here. So when a particular color is discussed and information is withheld, that can be a little bit frustrating.
This said, I understand navanoD as well. I did not share my Spyder PTS color either. A color which has been approved for the 981, but is not in the Spyder PTS overview (yet).

Hello Porsche Fans,
i ve just registered because i received my 981 Spyder on thursday January 28th.
The 981 Spyder you see in the picture above is my car and yes it is sport classic grey 63A. I know the color very well because in my other Porsche is a 997 Sport Classic ;-)
Here is a picture when i picked it up in Zuffenhausen :-)

First, Congrats on your new PTS Sport Classic Grey Spyder!!! Looks amazing!!! My Spyder is nearly identical to yours. Mine has the painted roll bars and painted interior trim and PCM surround.
According to the Porsche Exclusive department in Germany, there is only 3 PTS Sport Classic Grey Spyders in the world. Two in Germany... Yours and 550.spyder's and mine in the USA.
Mine won't deliver until late March/early April. So I have to drool over photos of yours!
Oh one question... pretty sure it's just a typo, but you stated Sport Classic Grey as 61A... I thought the SCG paint code was 63A???
Anyways please post more pics!!! I need them to hold me over.
Thanks again!

Congratulations 997sc! Now that's a spectacular car! I too would love to see it side by side with your Sport Classic.
woodyvision, congratulations on your fashion grey Spyder! Please post some photos, and feel free to post some in this other fashion grey thread too (https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...ey-thread.html). Thanks in advance! (BTW, I suspect 61H may be a hair darker with more colour saturation (to my eye anyway) than 63A. PufnStuf has reported that 63A more closely approximates Y99 than 61H--see the linked thread above.) You will love your fashion grey car when it arrives!
