Future 981 Spyder owners... Let's use this thread to track the progress of our orders. Let's start with our order specification, then as time progresses, let's add more info as we get it.
NavD:
I have a Spyder build slot at my local dealer, just starting to work on configuration. Don't understand your combination of Bose and CDR, should only need one or the other ?

It is the Bose Sound System, not the Bose Package.
navD, you went all out! My build will be far more basic. I'm actually toying with having just the base stereo.
Also need to try a few seats out. Currently have the 18 way but want to see how the sports seats plus and buckets compare. Still working on the details.
Carrara white with spyder interior or sapphire blue with contrasting stitching..
Decisions, decisions..
Just heard from my SA that sapphire blue is being phased out and may not be available. Well.. my decision is certainly going to be easier If it holds out.
Not sure why they would release the brochure with that color though.
Now that the 918 VIP window has expired dealers should be receiving their first allocations soon. IMHO numbers will be smaller than the GT4... Though I think the 918 VIP's didn't ****** up as many as they did the GT4? Time will tell.

Honestly I'm still debating what to really order. The only things I know I want for sure is:
-Sport Buckets
-Full leather (not sure which one yet)
-Leather console trim
-Backup camera

Everything else changes daily for me.... Ugh
Same here. add Monday, revmove, replace Tuesday. Rinse repeat.
I'm hoping to hear from the SA soon about allocations.
I want to order and have put my name on a list but I'm still waiting for confirmation based on dealer allocation. My mind state is that if there is an allocation for me and I can order to spec then cool. If not, then I've saved myself 90k and insurance payments.
I grew up with an all original 1953 speedster in the driveway and it was white with a ruby red interior so I'm leaning towards plain white with the Spyder tribute red/grey interior. IMO It Would be really cool if I could do the Natural Leather (all) Red Interior. I'm considering foregoing the radio and a/c to keep it inline with the spirit of the Spyder but not sure yet. I don't want to start picking out all the details until I have a commitment from a dealer. I'm excited but don't want to get my hopes up .

I'm with you on that. It doesn't sounds like it's going to be an issue regarding allocations but you never know.
Went to look at some colors today and I'm going (assuming the above is correct) with Carrara white and the spyder tribute interior. Loved the Carrara in person. Only thing that would alter that is if a new color was added.
Heated seats (the Mrs states this was a non option option, lol)
Is the only other lock right now. Not sure I can do without a stereo (or ac) so the basic may be in.

I was at a dealer today too and sat in a boxster s and looked at a gts. I didn't bother to look at the colors, what is your opinion regarding the two whites?
Heated seats are a must IMO. If I get one it won't be a daily driver which is why I'm pondering keeping the novelty of no AC nor Radio. Honestly, I'll mostly likely get both, but I'm tempted. I wonder how many people actually take up Porsche on that dare???? I've drawn up different spread sheets with prices from 85k - 95k. Hopefully will know more about allocation this coming week.
I should add I saw the car last week at the auto show and it looked FANTASTIC in white.
Pretty sure I'm going with white. I've always liked white cars, and it seems like on resale, white Porsche's seem to be in higher demand. This is my build.
