Went to the dealer today to get an update. My Spyder entered the Body Shop January 14th!!! A day earlier than the "Expected" date.

-1/22 = Exit Production/Enter CT
-2/5 = Exit CT
-2/12 = Entry Port Emden
-2/26 = Exit Port Emden
-3/25 = Entry Port San Diego
-4/6 = Exit Port San Diego

Hopefully this travel schedule is extremely padded

I also checked my friends Voodoo Blue Spyder and oddly it still shows that it is in the Body Shop still (entered December 18th). Makes no sense.

Nice! Waiting to hear back from my SA about exact dates.

My PTS GT4 was listed as in the body shop for 5 weeks. Tried but never got an answer as to why.

The port of entry for my Spyder was in NJ and I can say that it took no more than 2 days between the time it arrived and my dealer called to say the car was at the dealer. This was in February 2011 and I know car sales were down at the time. I assume port times will vary with the volume of cars they clear so it may take longer but it shouldn't take more than a few days unless the car incurred damage in shipping.

Default Love maritime blue!

As the proud owner of a maritime blue RS America for the past 23 years, I can tell you it's very difficult to get the correct color rendition to show up in photos. Of the four pics just displayed, the rear 3/4 shot is probably the closest to the real color with the lighter full side view being second closest. In any case, my congratulations to the new owner on such a lovely PTS Spyder!! For myself, even though I love maritime blue I just couldn't do another Porsche in the same or a similar blue color so I opted for slate gray PTS on my upcoming Spyder build.

It's a good color.. the last shot I really like but the others I'm just so so on. Nice looking car though!
I think silver rims would really pop on it.

+1. I hadn't seen slate grey in person until after it was too late for a change. Phenomenal color and I don't even like grey cars that much.

@ RSGT: thanks for posting the pics - beautiful car ! Can't wait for Friday :-)
@ Blu RS: Slate Gray is great - I am sure you'll love it. Funny enough for me the reason to get a Riviera Blue this time around was exactly the opposite: after some gray P-cars (never get bored of it...) I thought it would be time to go for a "pop" colour this time :-)
