Agreed, thats why I never listen to whats on forums, and then repet it to others as Is often wrong. I check things out For My self, this app Is great as far as i see it, problem is that peopel dont know how it works. They are all stressed out on track and cant get it going. But thats not the apps fault.
I have not specced it on my car yet because I don't like the sport Chrono on the dash but supposedly it can be retrofitted on cars with PCM.
I would like to read a "how to" a step by step manual, is that available?
thanks for sharing but if you have the vbox sport which acts as a 20z gps receiver and hook it up with Harry's on your iPhone, surely lap times are then repeatably accurate and you can transplant it to your other track car. Why pay additionally for the track app other than convenience of not mounting your iPhone.

Well sure, as I mention in this thred, Harry Will do fine If on a 10-20hz revicer. Anyway if on a Porsche track app you still need to mount you iPhone/android to film. I got the Porsche app as and it take all my cars data thru wifi, and make a nice easy to watch video/layout. I driven Harry for ages and Porsche app Is more to my liking. Its more easy to make readout of how different drivers use their cars tru that than Harrys seeing the video. How oversteer/understeer/wheelspin and braking/throtle is used is genius easy to se on the Porsche app video. Anyway there is much to choose from. RN racenavigstor is as Well a cool thing, but there you need to plug in a cable to car to the ger car data. Porsche app you get car data tru cars wifi and then to phone. Great:-)

I think you use the Vbox 20hrz receiver?
Yes, there is steep by steep instuctions on how to get going on the track app. As FAQ as i posted in this thread. The basic is that you Will not get anything to work before you enter you cars chassi nr. In to the app, then it hook upp and can transfer cars data to app thru wifi conectins. You need to put on wifi on your phone and then it find your car. As Well put on bluetooth on phone to hook up vbox-sport gps. In the app Its tons of FAQ instuctions, easy to follow. Most important, see that gps is up an running/conected and dont drive before. Please also remember to sign profile and choose track. It Will show any track near your car, as Well different streches.( if there are different streches on the track)
Like all these Gismos, it shows nur in btg strech, full strech, vln strech, or what ever strech you will drive. You can easy make your own strech, like autocross.
See gps signal sign far right top in pic, now you go and drive. If this sign signal is not visibel its a no go, signal bad. Signal bad is a vertical red line. God to go gps signal is like these waves. Then you must press start and then you need to pass starting line before 2 min has gone. So do not press if you dont know you reach start line in 2min, if more than 2min you need to press and confirm again. After lap is Done, do not forget to save/confirm or else video lap Will not show up.
Cars is not hooked up. If it is, Well then your chassi nr is here and all others ok. At this pic its not conected

Info on how to conect external gps reciver. Its basicaly very easy all this app gismo. At nur I had 3 different timing gears going simultanius. Just to verify if its ok this track app, and it is. Its shows same Times as My racelogics vbox-HD.
Just get the Porsche track app, get it and start Messing about. You learn instant. You dont need a car to get the app. All FAQ is right in the app. When you get your gt4, you know all about the app and how it works:-) then just add your chassi nr. And have a blast :-)
In app, Click either of the 2 gps symbols. Left one tells you accuracy. With out gps reciver it bad, like 20-30m or way Moore depending. If god, its accuracy like 3m. Klick right gps symbol and you get an ? Mark, klick that and you got FAQ in your languish.

For those not seen, Please klick link to Porsche FAQ track precision app. Recomended by Porsche to work well, get a vbox sport if you got iphone, get Qstarz 10hz gps reciver if on android phone. As if you drive a track like nur, you For sure need extra external gps reciver that you put on the cars roof, magnetic, then plug in to vbox sport. I put it on My gt4 front hood, fail as Hood is not steel magnetic dont work:-). Roof or fenders is ok, hence steel:-)

Sure is! Thats why i drove it Vs my racelogics vbox-HD. When on a gps revicer 20hz its accurate, it did turn in same laptime as vbox-HD. What you seen is not used with a vbox-sport as a gps 20hz reciver. If only filmed on Porsche app and iPhone/android its not accurate!( 1hz update if only iPhone, no god!)
