This is getting closer to something I'd pay extra for.

You could be right.
It was pure speculation on my part to get the discussion going. I have no hard data, especially since Porsche is currently saying they are not building a GT4RS,even though we all know they most likely will.

I get it. If I were Porsche and I wanted to make an RS I think I would make it PDK-S only (even though I would never want this for myself), X51 motor (+30hp) and CF rear hatch, frunk and front fenders for $120k.

Making it PDK-S (7 close ratios with 7th gear as performance gear as in GT3) would really pad the specs and give the impression of much better performance. This would be a cheap way for them to leapfrog GT4 performance (and threaten the current GT3 which is due for a refresh anyways).

If I was making the car for myself, I would lower the R&P as well as restacking the ratios (closer) for 165mph Vmax and 65mph 2nd gear. I would lose 100kg (from measures above), and add a de-stroked version of the GT3 drysump motor with 9k redline and 350hp.

You probably meant a bit more hp than 350.

Oops, try 450

Also it occurred to me that with a 9k redline, making 2nd gear only good for 65mph might be a bit too extreme.

Hi all,
I emailed a dealer closeby asking if there was gt4 rs list. There are 3 people waiting already. Is a 4th spot considered decent? Assuming they do make the car...
Thanks

Dealer assigned market size, etc determines allocation. Did you read anything different on the web or why are you asking?

Thanks. I am wondering if 4th down the list gives me a decent chance of getting a car, but I'll have to inquire as to how many allocations they received of other gt cars as a reference point. Reason I ask is that I see prospective gt3 RS buyers on the forum worry if they're a bit down the list. I have not been on a wait list before so i am unfamiliar with the process. Again, assuming the car is given the green light.

4th on the list at a huge dealership can be better than 1st on the list at a tiny dealer. Depends on their allocations. That being said, I would think it'd still be worth finding a #1 spot at a medium-sized dealer (should still be possible).

3rd on gt4 and 5th on gt4 rs.

Fortunately ordered Carmine red before they say cancelled ordered. So the GT4 will worth a pretty penny

anyone have any thoughts on the GT4 in this video(00:59), there are no side scoops and the wing end planes are like those on the GT3 RS, and not like any on any current or past GT4 thus far, could this be a mule for the GT4 RS???

I think we will see a PDK GT4 before we see a GT4RS....
I thin we will also see the GT4 cup car sooner than later....

Either way this seems to be something newer than what we've seen so far
