Emotional crisis!
I've been planning to sell my pristine '14 Shelby GT500 to make room for the GT4, but now that it's time to act I'm having a really tough time placing the ad.
Options include:
1) Sell or trade Shelby
2) Sell or trade pristine '12 GTS Cab, silver with red; silver contrast stitching. 6 MT.
3) Keep all of them, get a storage unit and rotate cars to home garage. Pay out the *ss for insurance and storage. Get lots of grief from wife. Likely owe her never ending favors.
Has anyone made a similar sacrifice? Is the GT4 so incredible that I won't miss the Shelby, or the GTS Cab?

I'm sure the GT4 is a much better car with one possible exception: the fact that the GT500 has less electronic gadgetry seems to make it a bit of a safer bet as a long term keeper. Craziness? Probably.

I had the same issue. Back when I placed a deposit for the GT4 in 2014 I was ready to sell my Lotus. Fast forward to 4 weeks away from delivery and there's no way in hell I'm ever selling it.
Hmmm so as to your problem, it's a hard one because I'm sure the GTS makes a lovely daily driver and weekend cruiser. If you sold the GTS what would you daily drive?
Not a fan of the storage option unless that's well within your means and won't be a nuisance for you.

Have any of you driven the '13 and '14 GT500, with 662 HP out of the box? It's a really well put together car, and I've had zero trouble with it in about 30 months. Only trips to the shop have been for oil and mods. I'm finding it difficult to walk away from this combo of power, durability, and drivability.

Drive the GT4 and report back.
