The clear rings that come with the bottle shrink over time and become less effective.

I’d encourage use of approved fuel storage bottles. I’d hate to hear about an accident causing the glass bottles to break and a fire to result.
I’ve used these Lixada fuel storage bottles to carry spare gasoline on off-road motorcycle trips, where it’s not uncommon for crashes/falls to happen. They are definitely safer and more durable than glass. The 500ml version is good for treating up to 15 gallons, so you could just pour in the whole bottle every fill-up if you don’t want to measure. There are 530/750/1000/1500ml versions as well.

Is DeMan still in business? I haven’t been able to get in touch with Rick via text or phone. The main line is being answered, but I haven’t been able to get a call back after leaving my info. My latest interactions with Rick were cordial enough while they were preparing for what I thought was just a move/downsizing. I offered to organize a bunch of owners to help with the move, but he didn’t seem interested in that.
I just need to get a tune since I recently switched to 200 cell catted headers from race headers, but I also wanted to discuss details of some other potential work.
Anybody been able to get in touch? Anybody with 200 cell cats have tune files to share?

Has anyone had any issues with drive cycle / emissions readiness? I'm not having luck with 4 out of 8 of the readiness criteria. Tried doing the drive cycle several times and following the instructions closely. No luck so far. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
4.5L Conversion
PDK Tune with Cobb
Fabspeed Headers with Cat.
Stock GTS exhaust

I am having trouble as well getting my emission sensors to the ready state. Several drive cycles with no luck.

@Gunner80 I just uninstalled the Cobb tune entirely for the emissions check. I don't think stage 1 93 is the OEM tune (you need to uninstall the cobb for that). Obviously don't go revving the car hard but it will drive ok for normal driving. BTW this isn't unique to the 4.5L. I've had tons of issues getting emissions monitors set even when the car was stock. I always just pay the porsche service center to do it. They do some procedure with their PIWIS then a drive cycle then it works. Anytime I've tried following any of the drive cycles here on rennlist, no dice.
Usually it's the EGR/VVT monitor that's a pain to set. The others usually set within 30 min or so of driving normally.
BTW I think you need catted headers to get all the emissions checks passing. Otherwise you may fail some.

Has anyone done this? I just want to confirm it is safe before I load it in. Rick had said to use the OEM tune but I dont see that in my Cobb. I have a tune "stage 1 93" that came with the Cobb and I assume that is what Rick is referring to.

I wish waivers like that existed in my state.
This is so annoying. I reflashed back to stock today. Went for a drive cycle. Got the O2S and HRT to go green! But EVAP went red again. Still cannot get FUE or EGR to flip. And now I have a new pending DTC code P0172 Bank 1 too rich.....ugh

I picked up my 2023 M/T 718 Spyder from Rick's Shop in Upper Nyack, NY last Thursday. In less than 4 weeks, Rick converted my motor to 4.5L, installed the clutch, lightweight flywheel, headers, OAP, modded the differential and re-geared the transmission. Drama free is the best way to describe the process. Rick's shop is brand new to him, in an old bakery. It's immaculate and also laid back. There were probably a dozen GT4/Spyders visible on property, including a gorgeous Shark Blue GT4RS on a lift. My car was waiting for me, full of race gas, a box with an owners manual and boostane. I was greeted by Rick, his engine builder and a friendly German Shepard. Rick and I jumped in the car for a test drive, and he gave me instructions on the break-in miles ahead. Rick's confidence in this motor is inspiring. My experience with him over the course of the project, through pickup was fantastic. I was able to get an on the fly oil change at Porsche STL (KILLER DEALERSHIP) right at the 1,000 mile mark of the end of the break-in period.
After the first 1,000 miles and the oil change I was able to drive the car up into its power band. The car rips. The naturally aspirated power is right there with you all the way to the redline. I wasn't surprised about the power down low, but what shocked me was a drastic improvement in 4th and 5th gear torque. Drop from 6th to 4th to pass on the freeway and the car is unrecognizable, pulling hard to the 8k redline. I personally feel like it easily performs with the 991.2 GT3 with this setup. I went catless because as expensive as NA power is, why not? Rick retaining the OEM muffler with its reliable valves is essential. With the top down, windows up and valves shut, the car damn near indistinguishable from a stock 718, you can have a conversation. I can say that it feels like a new car. It's the torque. I've seen dynos from bolt-on's and tuning on this platform with impressive HP Gains, and have had a 991.1 GT3 with tuning to 93, catless headers/exhaust which was sightly noticeable. I weighed the cost of the build against the bolt-on/tuning options. It comes down to the torque, there is no comparison in this car and one that's stock. From the factory the car had plenty of HP, just not torque. The 4.5L Build delivers real world, usable torque and it is wonderful. The 718 chassis is a phenom and with this package it really does fit in with the best mid engine sports cars.

Does anyone have this with a PDK? I'd love to hear their opinion on how it feels with the taller gear ratios.
