Default Anyone in Dallas with a Deman 4.5L

Just curious if anyone in the Dallas area with a 4.5L Deman Cayman. Would like to
ask some questions and maybe meet up.

I believe there is one in the Austin, TX area. I'm not sure if the owner is here on RL, but if you PM me your contact information I can pass them on to him...

A few more bits that were replaced

With the bits that were replaced the other time around, I now have two big "Porsche parts bins"

Default Delivery Day

It was very exciting to pick up my car today and meet 3 other 4.5 owners as well as chat with Rick and see the eye candy that his shop always delivers.

Most importantly, t was a fantastic drive home. I took the long way and it was worth it! I need to get in some break in miles but so far it is all thumbs up for me. The torque, the linear power delivery, the smoothness, the gears, the sounds with the new catted headers and Clubsport intake, it is all just really good!

Was awesome to meet you yesterday! It was also fun seeing the cars together again and all done after they met in the transport a few months back

+1 the sound on the catted headers and x-pipe is really nice, I'm also a satisfied customer on that setup. Having had both now you literally cannot go wrong either way given equal power, just a matter of preference.

F5, F5, F5... Looks like there is a video queued up ready to drop soon. I hope it is the one we are waiting for!

Yeah, I think they drop between 11am-2pm EST on Tuesdays. Per recent podcast, Farah said it was upcoming "this week" (which would have been last week at the time), or next week, (which should be today).

Not this week; looks like it’s an electric Jeep (which makes sense given last week’s episode)

Got mine back yesterday - finally! Motor, clutch, gears, and diff feel very nice indeed. I was surprised I noticed a big difference in the diff, but I did. With the extra grunt, turning onto an onramp or other similar 90-degree turn and giving it some boot makes the car just dig in deep and shove you forward - a very nice feeling indeed. Gears feel great, although I'm short shifting during breaking. And gosh how I missed the shifter in my car! Still feels very much like the stock car, but just turned up to 12. It's loud, but I don't think it's louder than it was before (I was running catless headers). Has a nice "bark" when it starts that I just love. My only problem is the Sparco seats I had Rick install for me may not fit my girth (NOT Rick's fault; I chose them). Oh, and the superhero levels of self control it takes to not let that needle swing past 5000 during break in miles. Super, super happy so far.

^^ Congrats and I have to agree on the LSD. I don't have much experience with high end LSD's myself so I did not really expect much. When I first drove my car home, about halfway through the drive on some nice twisty roads, not even pushing hard, the car had a very different feel. I could feel the backend doing something different but could not place it. Almost like the car had rear steering... Only then did it hit me that it must be the diff. Am I crazy or am I feeling the diff work?

Rick just posted some pics of it on social media yesterday. It is also a pretty nice looking piece of kit!

Exactly! It doesn't exactly squat down, it just somehow seems to dig in and launch forward. I have a feeling I might be dealing with some new understeer at my next track day. May have to fiddle with the bars a bit.
