I have deposits down at two dealers for the GT4, I was notified today from one of the dealers that they're returning the deposits for the GT4... I'm on some kind of list still but they said they're changing their policy on GT4 deposits pre-announcement. I'm assuming that their preferred customers are hearing more about it and want to be at the top of the list.

You need to start moving the decimal point to the right.

Interesting, sounds like they are anticipating high demand

In some ways thats a strange article - the reason drivers are ditching the GT4 is because its not really that competitive. There is no mystery. The solution is to make a competitive car. Porsche would be able to do this, however the outcome would be something that encroaches on the GT3.

The answer is painstakingly obvious

Business as usual it seems.

If I get knocked off the list at the other dealer, I'm going to buy a 981 GT4. The dealers in California said to expect the ADM cost will be 10-20k, which is more than I am willing to pay

I am scheduled to run the 2019 GT4 race car at the IMSA Daytona event in January 2019.
My wish is that I can get a car in December for testing prior to the Roar Before The 24h.

I am really looking forward to the new car and to run it against the stiff competition.

I must admit however that at a club level I am still really enjoying my 981 GT4CS.
If my 981 had the X51 package, it would be perfect!

It currently takes a good pro to get podium results with a GT4CS and GT3R this season in IMSA and PWC. So they are fighting the good fight in their last year.

If the next GT4 street car is 400-420hp, it wont encroach on the GT3 performance and the next GT4 race car will still be at least 5 seconds slower then the Cup car. So we should be ok and still competitive in racing against the competition for 2019.

I want to know what his/her prediction is on the next GT4. We have a few folks on bimmerpost whose posts can be deemed accurate. Really looking for similar input here if it exists.
Read my post from last Friday and then mark your calendar for this November, when I expect the next GT4 to be introduced.

Enjoy the wait.

PS Reason for timing: Too much GT product in production now.

Not really front page news...?
PDK - most agree
NA - most agreed until the recent video
