Here’s all the info in Pete Stout’s thread explaining that the Speedster’s ITBs and mesh backpressure are directly related.

https://rennlist.com/forums/991-gt3-...speedster.html

Here’s also a quick google search confirming the ITBs on the Speedster 4.0 L.

https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.road...s-engineering/

So I’m just hoping that since the GT4 likely won’t get ITBs then it will also do without the backpressure mesh.

Did a quick read on the link..thanks! Sound more like the ITB are used to provide extra power and smoothness on the engine due to having a new bottleneck on the exhaust side.
Now we just need someone to retorfit these into GT4s!!!!!

I would say it's likely that the fitments will remain the same.

In the event that they don't however we do take trade-in's on wheels

Why is independent throttle bodies being touted as something new and amazing (mainly done by magazine articles) my e9x m3 had that 8 years ago!

A couple of quick questions that I have:

How many allocations do you think each dealer will have for the Cayman GT4? Are PDK rumors reliable? Desperately need a PDK. If no PDK, I will have to do a 911. Some rumors I've seen suggest PDK at the end of 2020 but by that time all allocations may be gone.

I think everything is still complete speculation at this point. On the allocations I would start by going off what your dealer got for 981 allocations, that’s going to be the best indication at this point with no other info on production numbers.

Porsche ran ITBs on the 996 GT3 R twenty years ago, and has used them on the various R, RS and RSR variants since. This club has long been in the bag, it's just been a matter of when they would need to pull it out.

Oh nice. The articles on the new motor in the Speedster have just been making me jealous I can't afford a GT3 variant without breaking the bank. I really am hoping something along those lines graces the midriff of the GT4/Spyder.
