At my dealer yesterday (Newport Beach - getting new tranny)... popped into the GM's office... he said he would be surprised if the GT4 is revealed before the end of the year...
I’m thinking the LA Show in November... with deliveries next Summer. Porsche is moving slow with debuts now for some reason.

Goodwood seems likely at this point but if not, then Ill just get a used 991.2 GTS or maybe GT4S. Done waiting, theres no other car in Porsche history that has been delayed this many times. The 992 isn't really an option for me. There's just too many updated aesthetics that I can't get over. I don't like the sports exhaust, the square hood, the gear lever, third brake light and probably other stuff that I am forgetting.

I understand the wait is frustrating for a lot of people. I'm extremely curious to know the final details, particularly in engine choice. I don't, however, consider the car delayed. Did I miss an announcement from Porsche indicating a reveal or launch that they then changed? It's just speculation and rumor otherwise.

I realy am with you on this one. Perhaps it will grown on me over time. Ugh the cabriolet is the worst offender. My god its ugly. Same with the new Speedster. I pity the fool who buys the Speedster.

I don't think it's late... I think people just assumed (my self included) based on the launch of the Clubsport Launch.
You're right, we were all hoping for it at geneva, but Porsche never said anything. reputable mags have said Goodwood, so until we hear otherwise, I am expecting we'll see it 4 July in the flesh at goodwood, with an online reveal in June.

My gut tells me it won't be Goodwood... I feel that venue will be the driving debut for the Speedster. Heck, North America hasn't even launched the 718 T yet (not sure why). Maybe NA is skipping the T based on poor 718 sales?

I can agree with this. Our resident insiders usually are aware of the release dates. Either they don't know or won't spill the beans. I guess the only positive would be if you're hoping to score one and you're a little further down the line (like me), some in front of you will pass on the car from the drawn out wait.

The 911T is not doing what PAG expected so they decided not to offer the 718T over here.
Guys, remember that Porsche said to extend the life of the current 718 until the refresh when the electric versions come in. They are essentially skipping a refresh cycle on the mid-engine cars. The GT4 and Spyder are end-of-series specials. No surprise they are delayed. Maybe not to the very end of the current 718, but quite a bit. Maybe expect an RS at the very end of the cycle in 2021, and the regular GT4 in 2020. Again, no surprise after the skipping-refresh announcement. Just IMHO. Your mileage may vary.

tbh i have lots friends who are more interested in the 718T than GTS, because the lower price tag and more driver focused... they should replace 718 base with T...
