991.1 S motor detuned via tb and untake manifold down to 385hp instead of 400hp. Pdk in GT4cs was not pdks but the pdk out of a base 981 with 7th gear locked out.
Thx
Preuniger in the Bovington release video says it is the s engine with a few mods to fit. I recall the TB and manifold were too big.
AP also said 385 conservative and the carrera s was 400 , so pretty close even with the smaller intake system.
Yeah... more than likely. I heard from a couple people the same (dealer owner and PEC). I just keep on hoping they are wrong. If it’s Geneva, that means Fall 2019 through Spring 2020 deliveries... with PTS toward the end of that. That’s a LONG time from now. Oh Well.
Porsche told the US dealers at Cayenne roll out in AZ last month the GT4 would have the 4.0 from the GT3 with manual and PDK opts. There will be a GT4 reveal before the end of 2018.

That GT3 engine has already been debunked. The GT4CS, not the regular GT4, has a good chance of a late 2018 reveal since its needed for the 2019 season. Has all been discussed in this thread already.

I heard this too as I am in AZ and caught the rumor. I don't think this info is correct though.
If you ask me they are doing the same launch schedule as in the first gen GT4...except the GT4CS will be shown first so teams can get the car and start testing before the main races.

February 3, 2015 the GT4 was announced - The GT4 will make its first official public appearance at the Geneva International Motor Show in early March. US dealerships will start receiving shipments of Porsche’s newest sports car in July. I really hope they announce at the LA Auto show and deliveries start in ~March

So Whoopsy, TCS, Etc., not getting back into the engine here, is it possible that Porsche could offer a PDK for the street cars in addition to the manual or that they have changed their mind? I keep on hearing dealers have heard this or that, but everybody seems to keep claiming a PDK as an option is coming. Are you pretty sure they are all wrong on a PDK?

I think customers will have to buy a clubsport if they want the PDK.
