Do you think the Corvette guys give a rats a$$ what GM does at the bottom end?

DUDE... You are SO CORRECT!

yea...they can build shopping carts and cheapo wheel barrows in harbor freight catalog for all I care, as long as they stay profitable enough to prevent compromise on high-end products

Quite frankly, they could build and price a Geo Metro look-a-like and some folks would flock to it. Afterall, it *is* a Porsche, and the price is right. And if 9xx owners look at them with scorn, they could probably care less because all their friends think the same thing - "It's a Porsche!"

Rob:

You'll have to purchase the new Porsche pickup truck to get the sticker as it will come as standard equipment. It may also be available when they start to produce a farm tractor again. The good news on the tractor is that they are going to stick the Cayenne Turbo motor in it.

How could anybody be expected to buy a car with back seats a slippy as that. Rear passengers wouldnt stand a chance on even the slightest bend.

Don't you think PAG is like any company. Probably the 4 passenger and/or 4 door sedan is probably one of a hundred things they are studying....and it's just possible that WW just floated this out to keep PORSCHE in the news.

Remember the old addage.....any exposure is good exposure. At least we're talking about Porsche....

And BTW, let's not get into a p*ssing contest over this. Let's not make it personal.

I know it's all rumors so far.....BUT

I'm sorry but I can name about 30 cars better looking than the 4-door pictured above...and they all sell for less than $30,000
Don't mean to be offensive. Just find it neither modern nor classic. Like it's too shy to be either or both. The finish is so boring, it reminds me of 1970's Peugeot. Really hope this was just a prototype and the actual production model includes major improvements...or at least a personality!

No offense...really. Just stating my own taste and my own appreciation (or lack) of style.

I think Porsche is out of its mind diluting the exclusivity of and respect for the brand. Why do people keep saying that Porsche must grow or die? It has done pretty well for 40 years without making sedans, hatchbacks or vans. My estimation of the brand fell a little with the Cayenne but would plummet if a sedan were introduced. I would rather that VW bought Porsche and the brand was kept alive just for serious sports cars.
