Post Can I buy the REAL (like on the car) Porsche crest badge?

As in, the thing on the hood. I need a Porsche piece to hold me over until I can save up some $$$.

Where could I get one and how much would it cost?

Thanks!

you can get them from any dealer (try suncoast, a rennlist sponsor). alternatively you can get through mailorder - try carnewal.com, pelican parts, or performance products.

As long as you don't make it "rice"...or whatever would be the german car equivalent....

BTW the emblem you posted from Pelican is the silver one which is not factory (factory is gold); that emblem actually looks a lot better than the factory one on some colors - black, silver, etc...

'rice' = 'reis' in German

'ricer' interestingly becomes 'die Kartoffelpresse'
LOL

Maybe we can agree on an expression like 'Ah man, that guy has Kartoffeled his 944 Turbo' or something?

Strange since kartoffel means potato, and kartoffelpresse I belive is the tool used to mash the potatos.. Language is interesting..

FWIW, I think the silver badge looks great on a Black/Gray/Silver car (along with clear side markers and silver/black/red center caps.

Hey if we're going to be spending this kind of money for a badge, why don't we get a real nice piece, eh? It's almost like jewelry for our cars. How about a solid-golc crest with inlaid onyx and rubies?

Hmm, if I don't remember it wrong I believe that thas has already been made.. It wasn't on a car though..
I believe it was in an old (late 80´s) german car magazine.

It looked very tacky, but expensive.

Now that's the way to store your extra car. One on the ceiling and one on the floor. LOL

Yeah, well, er, the emblem was upside down when I took a pic of the wheel. Rather than move the car I 180'd the pic.

You win the prize for observance! <img src="graemlins/beerchug.gif" border="0" alt="[cheers]" />

Just remember, if you park your car on the ceiling, you need traction control <img src="graemlins/roflmao.gif" border="0" alt="[hiha]" />
