This P2O is a very large gathering of some 500 Porsches of all stripe that occurs in Ohio every year. It has been called Porsches 2 Oxford and held in Oxford, OH (home of Miami University) for the last many years. Apparently due to some discord (word is that Oxford tried to cancel last year 4 weeks prior to the event!!) it is being held in Granville (home of Denision University) this year just east of Columbus.
"So what's your point, Dan??" It occurs to me that we might be able to impose upon the organizers to place the Rennlist Members in a special parking grouping us all together. We'd get to meet and greet, and those of us who haven't met some of you could do that.
I would be happy to bird dog this for us if there is sufficient interest. We'd have to register as RLers and maybe pay a premium on the entry fee (P2O currently sells premium parking in MaryLynn's Row to raise funds for cancer research) . The alternative could be to just go and meet at a rally point after we all park.
Let me know. BTW--Those of you who have never gone need to think about going. Pretty neat affair and maybe the largest gathering of Porches outside of Parade. Here's the link p2o.morpca.org

I don't think your link works anymore.

This will be my 2nd year. A get together would be great.

Last year registered for the event and also paid for " MARYLYNN'S ROW" but few days prior to the event, the car developed a mechanical issue so i knew i couldn't make it.
Called the organizers several days ahead of time and though didn't ask for a refund but requested if i can be given credit for the next year and was told they will get back to me.
Well several phone messages and several months later, i am still awaiting their return call
I have been going to this event for several years now but with this type of customer service heck i don't need to support them
For me... P2O is a

Peter: Fixed the link--thanks. Not getting much traction right now, and no real help from P2O folks, but there is a way to make it work. Will get back with you later.
C2: Agree that is unfortunate. I have found Ron Thomas a bit hard to start up with too. If you haven't called him try that and I would re-register and tell them you're simply using the $125 you gave them last year--if you really want to go. They may whine about the costs of the shirts or some such, but they have lots left over. Hope to see you there.

I'm colleting all names and will get back later.
Right now it looks like the best we'll get is:
1. Reverve a few places for Rennlisters--but then we all need to be in the same section. I'm parking on Marylynn's Row.
2. Rendevous at a place and arrive together to park together. Ditto on where we all choose to register.
Wiill discsuss later when I know how many are playing.

UPDATE OK I'm starting a list for PM-ing coordination and communications later as things develop and will use this positng (as opposed to mine in the 993 section) as the "headquarters."
We have 10 now and it's still early. Let's all go to Marylynn's Row so these organizers (some of whom weren't even aware of Rennlist--go figure) will appreciate not only our reach, but also our generosity. We get a crowd this year and I'll push for a pop up tent and special section next year. Anyone who really can't cover the extra $100, let me know.
