Well, they brined the ever living crap out of the roads last night in the Radnor/Wayne/Valley Forge area. Who's putting their car on a battery tender for the winter, and who is soldiering on? (I'm putting the Boxster on the battery tender, lol).

For those of us that don't drive their cars during the winter months, there's an opportunity to do a "layup" for your insurance to save quite a bit of money.
I do a layup from Jan - March. My 2017 C2 insurance premium ends up being less expensive than my 2015 VW GTI. My car is still covered is something happens to it at my house, I'm just not able to drive it on the road during those months.
I'll be hooking up my battery tender as well.

The fun car has been garaged since the beginning of December, I'd rather the salt consume the relatively replaceable truck.

Is that a CR250? Where do you usually ride? I'm a FRO guy but have plate on my Beta 390 to hit the Pine Barrens as well. I also ride a Specialized (Stumpjumper 27.5). That Levo must be a blast!

that’s an 89 CR125. I have way too many mx bikes, but that ones a fav of my vintage stuff. If you look closely you can see some of the modern bikes way back there. I mostly race and ride MX. Not really a trail guy unless I’m riding mountain bikes.
The Levo makes mtb riding so
much better now that I’m in my late 40s 😏

Has anyone in the area done an Apple Carplay retrofit in your 991.1? If so, which aftermarket solution was used, and who/which shop did the install?

Very curious about this same question for a 997.2 running PCM 3.0. I'm aware of the 9xx solution at about $8-900 (not including installation), and it seems that I've found some other nearly identical products that appear to be offering the same functionality for about $500.

Perzan is always a good choice for installation, if it's convenient for you.

I’m one of the chair members for RTR PCA and we hosted a meeting this past year at Tier One Motoring in West Chester. Their specialty is audio and electronics installations, and they were very educational. I’d highly recommend giving them a call, they have a great team over there and will without a doubt have answers for your questions and happily take care of you.

Hi John,

Fellow RTR member here. Thanks for the intel. It's great to know they are good folks. They are very close to me, and I've been meaning to stop by and talk about adding Android Auto to my TTS Cab. I didn't want to recommend because I've never used them, and don't know anyone who has. Perzan, I've had experience with, but they are not super close.

Thanks John, I'll have to check them out. I'm in West Chester so looks like they can be a local solution. Thanks for the tip.

Hey Corey, I too am in the WC area. I contacted Tier One about CarPlay and they use the ZZ-2 solution. While I've heard great things about their work, the final price was in the $1700 ballpark which is notably higher than other solutions. I've been in touch with Anthony from 9XX and it sounds like he might do a northeastern tour in the spring. That's my current plan.

Dr. 99 - I'm also in West Chester. I'd be on board if Anthony swung through our neck of the woods. What kind of price is he indicating for his install? I know his kit is $800.
