Went for it solo this past weekend, spur of the moment. Next few weekends are booked up so probably not until mid-September for me unfortunately.

In the 2 decades I've been cruising up there, Never have I been the only car at the lookout

I just got back from a 250 mile day up in Suches, Helen, and Surrounding area. Had a blast but I was in my newly purchased S2000.

What a fantastically fun little car!!

Driving slower cars fast is more fun than driving faster cars slow. You can't really reach the potential of the high HP cars in the mountains, but you can really enjoy a lightweight car that lets you really work the gears.

AutoHaus Social has an event in conjunction with Appalachian Driving Experience next weekend. Signup closes this Friday 9/3. I went last year and it was very well organized and executed. I'm going back this year.

Indeed they are. Last year, after the official event had concluded, they led me down some roads that were definitely not "well travelled" 🤣🤣🤣

We had a fun weekend drive a coupe of weeks ago to Marion, NC. Took my daughter and she did great.

Upcoming weekends are hectic, but getting track alignment @ Goldcrest end of Sept, may hit up the mountains on the 25th or 26th to get a feel for it along with the DSC.

I like doing Week day drives for that reason, this time of year.

We're talking about going up tmrw. and coming home after rush hour is over. Maybe do a night run
