This is the 1st winter I have owned my 2016 Cayman, and I would like to continue to take it out some during the winter (not heavy snow or anything). Currently running a set of P Zeros and thinking I should swap to something different. What are folks running for the colder months around here?

I see lots of Boxster / Cayman runs Continental DWS 06+ high performance all season tires in DMV. Had this tire on X5 and it's quite good as all reason tires. I do think running winter tires is kind of overkill in this area

I used to run a set of Sotto Zero for winter on MY15 cayman when I was living in the midwest.

Just to share with you what I used back then: FS: BBS Winter Wheels Set for Porsche 981 & 718 Cayman Boxster - Rennlist - Porsche Discussion Forums

Default Mobile paint less dent work

A few years ago, I had someone come out and do some amazing work on an e46 M3. I can’t find his info, but he was Chinese and from Virginia. His wife did all the talking. Sound familiar to anyone?

If not, is there someone in the Rockville/Bethesda area you’d recommend?

Also, any feedback on All American Paint Protection in Rockville?

Thanks!
JJ

DK about the PDR guy, but my dealer (Silver Spring) uses AAPP to do their PPF. I had to get the front done as part of the ADM. Paid 2600 for the front includes the complete front and side mirrors. Does not include hips. They didn't remove anything except the turn signals and IMO they did a top notch job. Only thing I would've liked better was if they covered the whole side mirrors. Instead they didn't cover the inside edge where the seam could be seen if one looked closely. But all in all I would recommend. They did seem super busy which could be a good. On a side note, the owner drives a 992 targa which is cool.

Thanks, Shogunade, I've only heard good things about AAPP.

Another ? - anyone know someone in the area who does coding? I'd like to do a few simply things like auto retracting mirrors, windows down using key fob... (Bonus if they'll be at the GT show tomorrow in Tyson's!)

I'd like to know this as well. Or if anyone in the DMV is interested in getting the LED Matrix headlights enabled we can have Anthony from 9xx come in.

Can anyone recommend an indy for state inspection? Apparently regular shops can't measure PCCBs and the local dealer wants $300. 🤯

Won't do anything with TPC. Quoted me $2500 or something ridiculous to change out springs. Will talk to Ralphs. Thanks.

Me too! I drive a black 991.2 C2S.

I had mine done at Neubauers off Rt 40. Solid outfit, but i do not use them for maintenance and such. I have taken my other cars there for many years though.

Now, if your’re looking for someone other than dealer for maintenance and break it fix it stuff and part installs, I recommend Induktion Motorsports near BWI. Ed, the owner, is a good guy and straight shooter.

Default MoCo

So is there no good Indy shop in the area for general repairs? Euro Pros handled an accident repair for me and did good work, although they missed one very obvious thing that I had to point out and go back for. (And it took forever, ie 8 months but I think mostly due to supply chain issues at the time). Auto Therapy seems crotchety and wouldn’t give me a date I could actually bring the car in for the repair after much back and forth over what the issue might be and an estimate. Sounds like Ralph’s is my best option but challenging to drop a car off there from MoCo.
