If we do a league, I think we should stick to fixed setups. I'd also like pitstops now that we can limit fuel loads; It adds such a dynamic to the race. I'm not picky on car choice, but prefer real race cars. Also stealing 10 minutes of qualy to add to the race would be great.

I agree and it goes back to my comments (from a while ago) re: shorter practice and longer races. most cars require a pit stop after 30 minutes, roughly.

can you do a league with multiple cars? i.e. Lotus 79 one week, Indycar the next, etc or do you have to use the same car each time?

hahahahahahahahaha!

my irating (and Wed night performances) would suggest otherwise.

Chas, I don't think we need to create an actual League, unless you're interested in recruiting more drivers from other than Rennlist.

We could, however, use the Tournament Hosting session to score our weekly endeavors. I just watched Sean Siff's "How to Host a Tournament" video. It appears they have made a lot of options available, and it looks like one can change tracks & cars every round. We could probably use Tournament Hosting to score a mini-season, like 4, 5, 6 or more races, with each race being a round of the Tournament.

There are other cool options like inverting or randomizing fields based on previous results.

how about this idea?

Roadcourse:
- 45 min qualify
- 20-25 min race

and right after that we do a short oval:
- 20 min qualify
- 20 min race

... similar to the PRO race last Xmas... and still about 2hrs total.

the only problem with that format is the people who can't join early; a few guys need the race to start at 6pm (9pm eastern) for work/family reasons.

as for this week, I think we'll do two classes, LMP and Ford GT.

I don't want to show up and be the only one...

we could do oval first and then our regular roadcourse race afterwards..... just a thought.

for wednesday. multiclass sounds fun, but not sure, if we get enough drivers. i remember last time Andy was the only one in the Mustang at Daytona.

i'd probably pick the LMP, but if we all do the Ford GT, i'm happy with that too.

are you inferring that some people don't like the ovals?

for this week it will be LMP and Ford GT. Ed and I have committed to running the GT, so there will be at least two of us...

What track are you thinking? I'm thinking I will drive the LMP.

Can't make it again this week. But, for good reason. I was able to get the pork idling under its own steam and I need to do some more work before I load her up for storage.
