After spending Thurs-Sun up at Road America in real life... running it again, on top of using a NASCAR car, meant I was "out" too. Hopefully I'll join in next week. Now that the "car season" has officially started it's sometimes tough to break away from the family to run iRacing, when I already spend most of the weekends in the summer doing "car stuff."

I'm in for Wednesday. What kind of speed differential can we expect between the LMP2 car and the Daytona Prototype? I really like both of those cars, so choosing one for the race will be tough.

The speed differential between these two is about the closest on the high powered MC cars, though I don't believe they race each other on any official series. Downforce edge goes to the the HPD.

yep, at Mid-O the DP is only a second or two off the HPD. kinda filling the gap between the HPD and Corvette.

I'm cool with multi-class prototypes, that sounds like fun. open or fixed sets?

I'm good for Mid-Ohio. I did probably 200 laps there last week in the Star Mazda so its fresh in my brain. And they're at Iowa Oval this week so I won't have to give them much effort since it's a de facto drop week in the eyes of most people that run that calendar.

I'll probably drive the Riley and run with a stock iRacing setup or a bummed setup from somewhere.

There's a stable setup in the Riley forum that I will be using...probably will tweak it a bit for my taste, so Open setup would work for me.

I ran about 20 laps in the HPD and my best lap was in the 19s. I think I better try to get some more practice in tomorrow.

I think I have a decent set for the LMP at Mid-O, I'll check tomorrow. the iracing "ALMS" series just ran there a few weeks ago.
