Not a great race for me. I seemed to have good pace for one lap at a time, but not enough practice to find the consistency. That'll teach me for coming home late and cooking pork in the oven instead of the BBQ! My first spin was entirely due to lack of consistency. The second one was just bad luck that I took a shot at a hole that was being closed up because Stephanne was slowing for a furled black flag. I was committed to blasting up the inside into T12 and couldn't avoid hitting him. There was impatience on my part too as I could see the leaders weren't too far ahead yet.

What do we think about standing vs. rolling? It was certainly more exciting into T1 with standing when half of us bogged the start. I'm missing the next couple weeks with travel, so that might be why the "crappier" tracks are scheduled in there

Tony flat out kicked my butt this race. I had a killer start, he was on my tail, bobbled and fell behind 6.5s or so. Made it up, back on my butt, I bobbled, he got around... beat me by 2s.

Nice drive Tony.

Good race tonight. I'm hoping I will be able to make more of them this season.

Thanks Jim. I the first half of the race felt really good, and I was doing my best to learn how to make a pass. Then somehow I forgot and did qualifying-style brake into the top of the cork screw and realized I needed to almost lock it up. That caused me to whip it around. Good thing it was almost a full 360 and I got back on track with ease otherwise I would have never made it back.

Luke. Nice Avatar.

Further legitimizes the use of the Rift and iRacing as a legit training tool

As for the 500... Go fast, turn left?

I don't need help driving in it... Lol.

I need help gaining SR... Ran two street stock races last night, S14 F7 and S13 F6 and it didn't move at all, despite driving clean.

Been a long winter, and track season is still months away. This iRacing looks like too much fun. So, I could use some equipment advice. I'm looking for a steering wheel and pedal set that would ideally work for both PC and for Xbox One. Is the current best option available the Thrustmaster TX 458 Italia? Or would you recommend another option? I don't mind spending 'decent' money - but if I do, then I would prefer not to be disappointed. Do I need to give up hope of finding a good option that works well for both PC and XBox One? Or maybe I'm making too much out this, and there are many good options? If it means anything at all, my only other experience with steering wheel and pedal setup was the Microsoft XBox 360 Racing Wheel - and I wasn't too impressed. Anyway, thank you for any suggestions that you may have!
