Hate that I've missed the last few races...looks like there have been some great battles. Haven't had time to find/buy a replacement iRacing PC up until now. On that subject, I've been doing some research and configured the following PC on NewEgg...

iRacingPC_zps669e546a.jpg

To those of you who know a lot about computers: how good of a system would this be for iRacing? Ideally I would like to run 100+ FPS on triple screens with graphics up fairly high. Also plan to use the PC for video editing (hence the 16gb RAM). Do you guys notice anything I should upgrade, or something that could be downgraded to save $$$? Ideally want to spend around $1000, but can go a little over if necessary (the one I built was around $1380). Appreciate any input you guys have.

(Link to the NewEgg configurator if you wanted to see the other options available -

U could save a few bucks on a lesser MB

Also .... Not sure if gpu prices have come down
But the bit coiners had the ATI prices thru the roof... Nvidia cards of same level were less $

My rig was right at 1000 and I run triples at 80-120 depending on track

Glad you guys are having fun. It's real hard to go inside this time of year when the evenings outside are so nice. We're coming into top-down-nights season too, so I'm not sure how good my attendance will be.

Luke, check out Main Performances X4000. It's $1500, but you will be very happy, and they have great support.

Hi Luke. Pay some extra attention to cooling. My experience with the the out of box fan from Intel wasn't good.

The nice weather isn't keeping me away, it's work! Traveling 4 Wednesdays in a row (very unusual). Looks like I will be back in action July 2nd. Keep having fun everyone!

I joined last nights practice for the first time in a long time and there was only 4 of us that joined. But I'm going to miss the race again as I have to fly down to Phoenix for work on Wed.

Hey guys, in an effort to not have to read the 322 previous pages, when/where do I join?

Thanks

Sysgen yes we had a good back and forth there at the end. I joined at the start and you were the next to show up maybe 20min into Ben And Alton joined for maybe an hour. I left with about 20min left.

Brad there are a couple of guys that are admins here that can add you, they will just need your iRacing name, if you search the thread you can find them and PM them your ID.

Hey guys, just to let you know I have been traveling for business and unable to join the practices or races. That time of year....maybe in July I can work my way back into some of the practices and race events.
