Very happy that the video didn't catch my dumb move of hitting Vanasse's car in the back He breaked just a tad earlier than I expected and touched his bumber, we both went off I'm so mad at myslef, we were having a blast following you guys in 9 and 10th place. Oh well, maybe next time.

Thx for the video Jim, even though I did not need to be reminded of taking Edmund out in corner 3 did not seem like the contact was that hard but took me out for 3 minutes, deserved it though. I only had about 30 minutes practice and I could not get used to the new brake set up at all, tires seem to have less grip and struggled with the brake bias, I think the tire noise is what bothered me the most, kept thinking I was going in to hard. Ed sorry again!!!!

As usual,no worries the next day. Seems the karma was returned to me from my punting of Tom and Justin at Long Beach in turn one. I never felt right about that one. That said, taking out two top drivers left me with more racing conscience out of respect ...speaking for myself.

From yesterday's race I watched the replay and pretty amazing how synchronized the punt/slide was and how it only took you and I out. I laughed by the third viewing.

On another note, I will ask some newer folks to observe courtesy during qualifying: please be mindful of cars on hot laps when exiting the pits - thanks!

Default Road America

Hi All,

I had a lot of fun last night racing with Luke, It was probably one of my best drives in the league. All for 10th place. it was a ball from my seat. Watching the replay there was a lot of close racing going on.

I tried the BMW on Road America for a few minutes tonight when i got home from work. I was a second or so slower then with the Ruf track. I would have thought it would have been faster as it's so light. That was with the default set up.

Any thoughts on CotA. done a few laps there but don't really have the feel for it yet. Love to to a fun race there.

Regards,

George

I was about to run some miles on Euro Truck Simulator (LOL I can't get enough of that stupid game) but I could join ya in iRacing for a bit at COTA if you're on. Lemme get the kiddo into bed....

Doesn't look like Ted logged in or set up a session.... however there is a "COTA Fun" session running (hosted by Nim), that has the RUF Track in it at COTA GP. I might jump into that one for a bit.

Got down to a 2:10.233 best with a bunch of 2:10.5xx. I don't feel any rhythm here though, I just feel like I'm kinda "driving around".

Also can't get the car to feel right. Understeers everywhere except when it snap-oversteers. :/ Strange.

COTA is a really weird track IMO. Only had the chance to run a few laps after last night's race, but I agree about the understeer / snap oversteer...same problem I was having last night. I hadn't driven the new build until last night though, so I might be part of the problem. So far, it seems like each new build has progressively made the Ruf handle worse and worse :/

Ya I'll have to re-read the release notes to see if they changed the tire model on this car. It seems to lock up the brakes a lot more too, or it could be what Tom suggested (that it's just increased tire sounds).

No tire changes to the RUF according to release notes but in the RUF forum guys are saying to use at least a 43% brake bias now.

Will have to try it when I get home.

I'm convinced mine is locking the fronts at 48%. Shouldn't be locking any with the ABS on 9...I used to go deep in a corner and just stomp the brake pedal with no issues

When they said use at least 43%, do they mean 43% and lower, or 43% and higher?

"They" actually said 41-45%, and a few folks said they tried 43 with success.
