Jim, I really like the Patron livery, mine is pretty plain, but I wanted to put the same stripe on my real race car. I did do some updates to the paint, the splitter is now white with low white stripe across the bottom. Fixed the inset in the back. But TradingPaints was down last night.
Hope you guys have a good session tonight, I took my rig a part tonight so I could weld on the mount for the shifter and a sub frame to stiffen up the base and to mount some casters so I can move it around. Will be back together Saturday just a few missing welds to do tomorrow night.

Sorry, I had some technical difficulties where the video I captured did not have audio. I will do it again this weekend. Speaking of which, I need to investigate if there is some kind of remote desktop I could install on my laptop so I can play my games on my sim machine and just use my laptop as the display device. Right now, I have to switch everything around on my home office here in the apartment and it is a real pain in the ***.

Nevermind, the frame rate on my laptop would suck. Here is the video finally. "most exciting" is OK, but the camera moves around kind of jerky and such. George and I were trying to rally race -- evidently . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghmrJ...ature=youtu.be

That turned out nice!

You need to install TradingPaints so our custom skins show up!

Also - did you deliberately trim out the ticker that usually scrolls at the top?

Suggestion/idea, should we create a iRacing sub-forum like they did for Spec Boxsters?
We seem to have a lot of different topics in this one thread. We are over 2100 posts.
Just an idea.

I think that's a good idea.

It'd give us an opportunity to put a couple "stickies" up there for some of the common questions (What do I need, what's a good wheel and pedal setup) etc. and also to discuss cars, setups, tracks, etc.

I wouldn't expect somebody who is new to this to read through all 150 pages of this thread to get answers.

Yes that was what I was thinking, along with ad-hoc practice/sessions/racings would be easy to see, discussions about a specific race, etc.

Will moving all the iRacing threads to a separate forum affect the draw of new participants though, if they don't go check there?

...Just playing Devil's Advocate here...

You could always have the pointer here that is sticky.
Also in my view, thought everyone else sees it too the spec boxster one is always on top of the racing forum so I have to scroll by it to get to here.

Be happy they gave iRacing one sticky, this is a Porsche Racing & Drivers Education Forum, not a sim forum!
