Default "Failed Tech" iRacing

I'm playing around with the IMS oval and I can run a Pro FM or the Dallara IR-05.
When I try to drive the Dallara DW12 I get "failed tech" when I load the sim. Any idea why? This car works on every other track I have.

Have you modified the setup in any way? Some tracks have minimum height requirements, etc.

Don't know that i've ever gotten a failed tech message. I do have to reset the wheel/pedals every so often since it fails to recognize them randomly.

Searching some reddit posts it looks like the baseline setups can sometimes be "off" on certain tracks/previous patches. If you check the setup it may indicate what setting is causing the failure.

yes! The car is set up for a road course so the camber was way off for an oval. Left side runs pos camber on the oval setup.
When I went under Garage and then Chassis, all of the failed settings were flashing. I paralleled some of the setting from IR-05 and was allowed to tech. The car still needs chassis setup but it’s driveable.

The garage setup page will highlight in red what is out of spec..

Likely loaded your last (road course) setup. I haven't run that Dallara or ovals, but there are probably preset, fixed setups for that car + oval available? Load one of those.
