Default AIM firmware version issue

In RaceStudio3, this is what I see for firmware versions (I have an MXL2):

But according to the version history, 1.22.13 just was released yesterday.

Not sure why it's not seeing 1.22.13.

Thoughts?

I think that is a mistake. Try downloading the firmware update and I think you will see you actually have 1.22.14 available. I got this release on Friday and I get a similar screen.

Unless it's 3.10.10, it won't update the firmware to .14

We see what it says on the update screen, our question is when you open RS3, does it say 3.10.10 on the top left of the active window?

Yes it does.

So what exactly is the latest rev? Is it 1.22.13 or 1.22.14? Website seems to indicate 1.22.13

The latest is 1.22.14. The .13 was a typo.

I'm working with the guys in Italy to see what is going on. I have 1.22.14 on my computer, but it shows the latest available is 1.18.22. I'll report back as soon as I hear what they find.

Enrico explains it thusly: "This is how it has to work: for upgrading the systems you need to upgrade the software. Then you have the fw in your pc and upgrade the system. This because, as I wrote, the new fw requires the new tracks, that the old software didn't manage. In this way we avoid the users to upgrade the fw without upgrading the software.

Did you get this resolved? I just did it on another unit in the office and it worked as described above. You have to reinstall all your tracks too through RS3. This is due to the new way they are managed.

I did it on a Surface Book that hadn't been updated from 3.08 yesterday and it worked perfectly.

I have not connected to a dash, yet.

Is RS3 also managing tracks for Smartycams now?

Good question! I do not believe so and haven't been told that, but I will have to check. The change for GPS manager to RS3 for the MXL2, MXS, MXG, and Mychron 5 is because the new track profiles contain more info and eleminate the need for the track width (among some other things).

I will check/find out and see.

Yes, I was able to update to the latest 1.22.14, and am using 3.10.10 RS3

Unfortunately my wifi still doesn't work...

3.10.12 and 2.55.68 has been released here. http://www.aim-sportline.com/eng/download/software.htm

jlanka, have you turned it on FROM the dash menu and connected TO that AP network (the dash serial number) with your laptop?

Yes I've tried it directly from the laptop and also get errors when I try that. When it was working earlier (April) it was able to connect direct from laptop successfully.

I still have this strange situation with the versions even after upgrading to 3.10.12. Probably don't need to worry much about it, but it's odd nonetheless. The "on web" versions still have an older rev even though "on PC" has been updated to the 1.22.16
