Default smartycam date/time

My smartycam date/time is way off - it thinks we're in the year 2000. The menu lets you change the date/time format but not the date/time itself - any idea how to fix?

AIM probably has the least user-friendly software since the days of MS-DOS...

You need to get out more... There's tons that aren't as good.

Call Cameron, Josh or Robbie on the AiM Sports number. They can help. Tel.: 800 718 9090

The GPS sensor provides the accurate time when connected, you only set the format and the time zone.

I'm connecting to a Solo DL and don't have a dedicated gps - doesn't seem to update! everything else works fine.

Is it a first series smartycam HD (small lens, pictured here: http://www.aim-shop-racing.fr/site/m...ntage_schd.jpg )?

If so, I have seen that relatively frequently.

update - I toggled between date/time display settings with the solo / gps connected and it picked up the correct date and time while doing so. Problem solved!

Great! The Solo DL provides all GPS time/position data to the camera, so that makes sense!

Mine thinks it's 1970. That seems really random since the thing didn't even exist in the last millenium.

I'll try hooking it up to my Solo DL in a street car and taking it for a ride. I figured I would find the answer on Rennlist. Just had to use Google to find it.

Unix systems (the SC runs Linux) count time/date starting at 12/31/1969.

I knew 1970 seemed familiar but it's been a long time since I used Vaxes. Now I wonder if I can put Zork on it.
