Gps08 for MXL
I bought a spec boxster that came with an very old Aim MXL.
However, at this moment is just being used as a shift lights because it only came with the optical lap timer, which is pretty useless nowadays.
I would like to add the GPS08 to replace the optical, but I can't seem to find it for sale anywhere.
I only see GPS09, which apparently is not compatible with older systems.
Anyone has a used GPS08 for sale?

I don't have any GPS08, but I do have some GPS08B that would work with a SmartyCam HD if you have one of those. The SC3 line will not work with the Pista.
If someone wants to upgrade to a GPS09 and sell their GPS08 to the OP, I'll help you out on the price so he has a working system.

I don't have any camera. The system was wired with DaVid, which is hilarious old, apparently it uses tapes? 
Is SmartyCam HD the only one compatible with MXL ? Like the v2.1?

I would take the DaVid!
The SC3 won't work with the MXL Pista, so you need a SCHD, SCHD 2.1, SCHD GP, or SCHD GP 2.2. I am pretty sure I can get an SC3 Corsa to work with a Pista, but I don't have a Pista or SDL to check everything with.

Thanks for all the info.
If I get a SCHD 2.1, and I plug the GPS08B to the camera, will I still be able to have all the same functionality as if I plugged a GPS08 directly to the MXL?
For instance we have live lap predictions?

Though I will always advise to buy the newest gear you can. The MXL Pista could be 20 years old. The best bet is to upgrade things and start with current systems. Everything for the new systems is available and easy to set up.
