Default 2020 Cayanne - Engine Control Fault

I picked up my 2020 Cayenne from the body shop, it was there for about a month. After driving it 10 miles or so, a yellow warning light came on "Engine Control Fault". I know might be a variety of things, but is there a common issue? What could it be?

Could be any number of things. Past threads have described the cause as:

Turbo Underboost
Engine ECU barometric sensor failure
Water pump failure

Others posted, many users responded with help, and the OP never updated the thread with the cause. So we’ll never know.

Read all about it here:

Default CEL Happens constantly

2022 Cayenne turbo SE, 22,000 miles. This check engine alert has come on, seemingly at random, for the 2 1/2 years I've had the car. I just ignore it, and it goes away.

If it is under warranty, why not have it checked out and fixed ?

Because:

(1)the car drives fine;
(2) my dealer at Marin Porsche frequently does not have loaner cars;
(3) It’s a fairly big hassle taking the car in;
(4) I’ve read about boy-who-cried-wolf CEL issues for years on Rennlist about Cayennes;
(5) it is not a predictably repeatable problem – I expect I would take the car in and the dealer would say, “Gee, it never happened when we drove it”;
(6)We’re replacing the car at the end of June.)

Having said all that, can you give a good reason why we should? I am open to sound advice on this issue.
