Could be any number of things. Here’s some other threads discussing the Engine Control Fault:

I had this on my new 2024 Cayenne a couple of weeks ago. Didn't notice a loss of power. The warning disappeared after engine restart. Dealer checked it and said "no error codes in flash memory". Whatever that means.
As noted above, it may be due to a myriad of issues. I guess, in my case it was a loss of pressure (I did opened and closed the gas tank cover after the warning and before engine restart).

If any of these sensors or actuators fail to communicate with the ECU or if the actuators fail, you’ll get the dreaded Engine Control Fault message.

Oh, for the simple days of a carbureted Chevy V8!

Turbo Underboost. The charge pressure sensor is telling the ECU the boost pressure is less than desired. Could be as simple as a leak in the air piping. Might be a bad diverter valve, Or it could be a failing turbocharger or waste gate.
