Default Turbo GT Thread - MY2024+

All - wanted to create an official refreshed (MY2024+) TGT thread given they are all in various places across Rennlist.

One discussion topic I wanted to highlight - anyone do downpipes and/or tune yet? I am thinking JCR's inconel sport cats is the route I want to take.

My TGT Below:

Chalk TGT (2024)

Chalk TGT (2024)

I got Soul catted downpipes on my 24 TGT. They throw a CEL unfortunately. No tunes available at the moment because none of the tuner companies have cracked the locked 2024 TGT ECU yet

How is the sound with the downpipes? Any noticable difference in power etc?

Catted downpipes sound with valves closed like OEM valves open. The downpipes with valves open sound crazy mean maybe a little extra horsepower without a tune. Cold start is 25% louder.

I have contacted every performance company I could find, inquiring about tunes, and nothing is available for the 2024MY yet. While I am enjoying the vehicle, I do feel it badly needs to be woken up with an aftermarket tune. There is, as usual, far too much latency built into the throttle delivery system. I had hoped that TechArt would release their tune in the USA, but they refuse to ship it here. Adding exhaust components/downpipes will open up the sound without a noticeable horsepower gain, until the ECU can be unlocked. COBB will write a tune if they have enough interest and a car to test. We need to join forces to give them an incentive to prioritize the project!

Picked up my ‘24 TGT about a week ago. Quartzite grey metallic with Bordeaux red. Sporting winter tires on 21” RS Spyders til the summer shoes go back on when the New England weather turns.

Driving is utter delight.

Some pics from today are below, though it’s a bit dirty.

Radenso, debadge, PPF, ceramic, driver and passenger tint and perhaps some audio upgrades begin next week.

Love your colour and selection of rims. I was told if I wanted those rims the snow tires would be the previous 23 dimensions not the new 24. Is that the case for you?

Thanks. Finding a winter wheelset (black) that would not take many weeks was a bit of a pain. Fortunately, a nearby dealer had these in stock. As far as your question, I can’t verify it myself but I was told by a dealer’s parts dept that the ‘23 and ‘24 model year rims are exactly the same size.

I believe the new 2024 tire dimensions are not compatible with the 2023 rims. Maybe I was mislead by my dealer?

Right, rims are the same but 2023 has 285/40/21 and 315/35/22 when 2024 has 285/45/21 and 315/40/21. Rims in both cases are 9,5" and 11'. Offset is also the same.
